“Many discussions about Africa’s creative economy emphasize talent. However, talent alone rarely determines who ultimately captures long-term value. Infrastructure, distribution & ownership play crucial roles” — @Ssentongo_ , Arts & Culture Journalist and Administrator #ArtsInc

1/3——This @UPRSOFFICE payout reflects an increase from last year’s Shs127 million, a slight but steady improvement in collections & distribution capacity. However, the spread of the distribution remains wide, between the highest & lowest earning beneficiaries. Cc: @MonitorSqoop

Over the course of his career, Parrot released more than 30 songs and remained a prominent figure in music circles. At his peak, he symbolised a generation of street-bred artistes who broke into national consciousness through raw talent and relentless performance energy. A very nice read, @GabrielBuule 👌
With a delectable sound of a solo guitar, Kasozi introduces his song Dunia Welaba, a poetic tribute celebrating his life. The rhythm is synonymous to the Catholic Luganda requiem song, Katonda tondeka alia God do not leave me. monitor.co.ug/uganda/lifesty…

Baganda and Decorum: Fred Sebatta's Gologosa song is about a man coming to reality with a wife that does a 9-5 job. And how she no longer has the time to give him 'some' in the morning.

The first DNA test, conducted in early 2019 at MBN Laboratories, had 14 individuals turn up for the exercise. Of the 14, only 4 were confirmed to be the biological children of the late singer. 😭 I hope this development finally brings an end to the many years of uncertainty.
As I prepare to hand over the Youth and Children Affairs docket soon, I wish to inform the public that the long-standing paternity dispute involving over 20 young people allegedly fathered by my friend, the late Prince Paul Kafeero, will soon be resolved. Following the successful exhumation of his remains this morning for DNA sampling, a process that has remained unresolved for over 20 years is finally underway. The family has been engaged in a prolonged dispute over this matter, and today marks a major step toward establishing the truth. The exhumation and sample collection exercise was professionally conducted by a team of pathologists led by Assistant Inspector General of Police Dr. Byaruhanga, in accordance with the court order and established forensic procedures. The Government Analytical Laboratory and the state-of-the-art Uganda Police Forensic Laboratory will now conduct the necessary scientific analysis to provide conclusive facts based on DNA evidence. I wish to thank the Court, the family members, Assistant Inspector General of Police Dr. Byaruhanga and his team, and the Uganda Police Force for making this important process possible. I am also grateful to have fully facilitated this exercise in the interest of justice, truth, and family harmony. May God bless Uganda, and may the soul of Prince Paul Kafeero continue to rest in eternal peace. Some don’t even opt for the fake ones—that’s a whole other long process! They simply take on the titles. I mean, whatever you want, you can become. It’s all about self-belief. 😜
Why are more prominent Ugandans going for fake PhDs?
