When you think about it, "men cannot be women" is probably one of the least controversial things you could ever say.
The fact that activists managed to reframe it not just as an opinion, but as a radical one, is astonishing.
Even more astonishing is that so many people, including our politicians, went along with that narrative.
131 MPs have now signed my motion to stand up for trans people and stop the EHRC's Draft Code of Practice coming into force.
For it to succeed, the motion needs to be debated and voted on, so I asked the government if it will allocate time. Unfortunately the Leader of the House did not make that commitment.
We will continue to press for a debate and a vote. Please encourage your MP to sign EDM 240.
