Greek authorities must end the pattern of unlawful use of force against protesters & journalists by the police & ban the use of stun grenades in policing assemblies.
Military-grade devices have no place in policing protests anywhere in the world.

In 2022, student Giorgos Mavros suffered a perforated eardrum, hearing loss & other injuries after police deployed stun grenades during a peaceful student demo in Thessaloniki
Four years on, he’s still suffering
Stun grenades routinely cause burns to victims, hearing loss/damage, as well as other blast & fragmentation injuries
The type of stun grenade used by the Greek police emits a sound intensity of 170 decibels – louder than a jet engine at close quarters👇

After a pericardial effusion the vet drained fluid from his heart
For 6 days he was almost back to his usual self (👇) but the fluid returned

He’s my boy
Full of love & joy & play
If you ask him: “Do you want to go for a walk tomorrow” or “Did you have a nice walk yesterday” he jumps up & get his lead
It’s cos he doesn’t dream of the future or cling to the past
He lives in the moment.
