Personally, I am not surprised that many people here have had run-ins with HR.
Kind of baffled with how "HR Lady" is a recognizable archetype to people on here. How much do most people interact with HR.

At best, he is a carnival barker for the engineers. His legacy will be complicated by his being one of the most loathsome personalities in American public life, a very racist mass murderer (USAID), and a cruel and vindictive father.
I am filled with optimism at the fact that the world's first trillionaire was made not by hedge funds or market manipulation, but by building the infrastructure to take America to the stars.

Obama is easily the most bookish, intellectual president of recent times. Normally, that's something Republicans would weaponize to depict him as an elitist, unmanly nerd, but they're so racist, they have to pretend he's actually an airhead who can't speak without a teleprompter.
These guys spin the most arbitrary fantasies. Obama was such a reader that even as president he kept up w the latest literary fiction. A follower told me of an Obama cabinet member who turned him on to Liu Cixin.

the intensity of the fallout from the Haim sisters wearing slightly silly t-shirts is the clearest example I’ve seen in a while of people hating someone for mean girl reasons and backfilling it with political ones to make it seem more important

In this week’s notes column, I wrote about the Lapid boycott controversy, why you should see YES, Ben Affleck’s 12 best movies, Ben Stiller making a Knicks documentary, why Glenn Close should get her Oscar at the main ceremony, and more stephensilver.substack.com/p… @philafcc

Not everyone can do the noble profession of podcasting about betting lines.
I find the 2 most insufferable group of people on the planet are lifetime educators and lifetime politicians. Both live in a fantasy world that lacks common sense and would not survive a day in the real world

You're not making a point about the conflict. You just hate Jewish women
Nobody more perfectly demonstrates how Zionist loyalty is all about the massive rewards that can carry. She starred in a PT Anderson movie as the It Girl.

Let's be real here, there's a sinister reason why Alana Haim is getting so much abuse on this site.

I've never heard Stiller talk about Israel at all. Sandler starred in a movie where he played an Israeli commando, but its plot was a plea for peace and he falls in love with a Palestinian woman
I saw someone posted that the Knicks game was a "who's who of the zionist elite" and then it was Ben Stiller, Jerry Seinfeld, the Haim sisters, Adam Sandler. For all the "zionist doesn't mean jew" people, it sure seems to always mean jew.

They would never, in a million years, fire him for that. He probably didn't even get a talking-to x.com/dpshow/status/20647543…

"Dan, you know I'm hoping they fire me. I got 6 or 7 years left on my contract that they know I've got no chance of doing. I would love for them to fire me and have to pay me for the next 6 or 7 years." 😅 – Charles Barkley on his "Cardi D's" comment

Plus, isn't Barkley technically not even an ESPN employee? ESPN licenses the show from Turner

Dirty Dancing couldn’t have been more explicitly pro abortion if Jerry Orbach stood up at the end and said “You’re right, nobody puts Baby in a corner, and abortion should be safe and legal.”

For a lot of us, the birther episode taught us everything we need to know about Trump- he’s a stone-cold liar, often in the service of pure hatefulness
When Obama released his long form Hawaii birth certificate in 2011 and extra-definitively disproved Trump's birther idiocy, Trump didn't abandon the conspiracy theory; he just expanded that conspiracy theory to cram in the contradicting facts, pivoting to claims that the birth certificate was a forgery.  It's a time-tested conspiracist tactic. And he’s now using it again when trying to explain why Steve Hilton succeeded in the California primary elections Trump had baselessly declared were a fraud and were being rigged against Hilton: cnn.com/2026/06/11/politics/…

If the symbol on Platner’s chest showed up on the side of a school, no one would know what it was
If you paint a swastika on a school, it’s a crime. You will be investigated, arrested, sentenced and fined. If you put something similar on your chest, you can become a Democrat Senator and the D party will give you millions of dollars. The modern-day D party is a disaster.
