Fun movie fact: MINORITY REPORT is the only film in which Max von Sydow portrays a character named “Lamar.”

Bond is a spy the way Jeeves is a butler: he isn't one in the first place, but is so overwhelmingly famous for being one that he has actually become the primary referent of the term, and now the meaning of the word has shifted in the popular consciousness to describe what he does
has the James Bond series ever tried to properly grapple with the fact that Bond is less of a spy or even really a hero and is pretty evidently a hatchet man

my hot take is that movies that involve friendships or relationships always need montages showing the passage of time or the whole thing is gonna feel rushed and shallow

Although TBH they sold it somewhat like a horror movie, and apparently it's not (maybe the meh Cinemascore is related to this, haven't seen it myself).
DISCLOSURE DAY nabbed $19 million on Friday for a likely over/under $45M domestic debut. Unless I missed one, that’s the 2nd-biggest opening weekend for a non-horror *original* (all respect to world war movies), behind F1 ($57M) last June, since SAN ANDREAS ($54M) in June 2015.

I never really understood how huge the martial arts craze actually was in the early 70s until I looked at the number 1 at the box office list and for a time it was like 6 films from Hong Kong topping it broken up sporadically by Paper Moon and Live and Let Die

Orange Is The New Black had scenes where the main woman is talking and every other character is rolling their eyes at how dumb she's being, and in the original book she (the author) delivers the same speech completely straight.

The most realistic depiction of writing I've ever seen is drunk Pierce Brosnan repeatedly screaming "GIVE IT TO ME!" at a blank Word document in Stephen King's Bag of Bones.

Audiences have spoken!!! #2 And it looks like #Lionsgate has another strong crowd pleaser in their hands! After conquering critics, #HongKong’s English-language R-rated actioner #TheFurious received SPECTACULAR A #CinemaScore from moviegoers, almost unheard of for R-rated action thrillers. Compared to other actioners: Above: #WrathOfMan, #KillBillVol2, #TheEqualizer’s A- #Shelter, #TheRunningMan, #TheAmateur, #Nobody2, #KillBill, #BulletTrain, #DenOfThieves2, #TheBeekeeper, #TheGentlemen & #OperationFortune’s B , #InTheGrey, #Crime101, #BlackBag, #TENET’s B #Expend4bles B-

I love the sort of mindless Hollywood logic that says "Riverdale is a surprise hit, get me a Katy Keene show, stat!".

Every now and then I reflect on how Barbra Streisand's hairdresser became a major Hollywood figure (yes sure sounds right) but it was by having sex with Barbra Streisand (hold up).

IDK has anyone read the Candace Bushnell columns, maybe they were just like that.
Carrie Bradshaw was writing her SEX COLUMN going “people come into your life and people go, but it’s comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart” like how did those checks even clear
