This is absolutely superb. Tom Hunter gives Labour MP Darren Jones a much-needed lesson in economic growth. The economic disaster Rachel Reeves has created was both predictable and completely avoidable. She hasn’t got a clue what she’s doing. She is destroying the economy.

The Times calls for a new national inquiry on grooming gangs. Alexis Jay did thorough work, speaking to thousands of victims and uncovering decades of abuse. But grooming gangs were just one element. The victims deserve a swift, independent process to finally get to the truth.

Keir Starmer is having to relaunch (yet again!) because Labour had no plan for government. His first 6 months will be remembered for freebie scandals, a calamitous budget, surrendering British territory, and now a cabinet minister resigning over fraud and lies. This is just the beginning…. there will be more resets to come.

And who can blame them? Starmer and Reeves are relentlessly anti-business, anti-investment, anti-aspiration. Labour said they had changed. But they are worse than ever.

Still deeply upset that I was treated like a criminal for a year-old tweet by @EssexPoliceUK . I’d like an explanation from the Chief Constable @BJH251 Questions; 1. Who thought it was appropriate to send 2 officers to my house on Remembrance Sunday? 2. Why was my Non-Crime Hate Incident escalated to a serious criminal investigation under the Public Order Act? 3. Who thought it was a credible charge when a former Home Secretary, a law lord, a former Solicitor General and two very senior police officers say my tweet ā€œdidn’t near the threshold for criminal investigationā€? 4. Why did Essex Police say it was ā€œunethicalā€ for me to write about my traumatic experience? 5. Who confirmed which tweet it was to the Guardian- and do you think it was ethical to share details of a live case with the media? 6. Why was the transcript of my conversation with the police leaked to the Sunday Times to try and discredit me? Who redacted parts which may have discredited your officers? Again, was it ethical to share stuff from an ongoing criminal investigation? 7. Instead of apologizing for the intimidating, ā€œStasi-likeā€ behaviour of Essex Police, why did you double-down by making it public that Gold Command was taking over my case? That’s Gold Command which usually runs terror investigations and national crises! 8 I felt bullied and harassed by Essex Police. Do you want to apologise for scaring me and triggering an asthma attack - or was that the idea? 9. Did you consult a prosecutor who told you you didn’t have a case against me? Or was the pressure of public mockery and disbelief at your mad investigation and your force’s poor performance reason enough to stop? 10. How sure are you that my accuser - ā€œthe victimā€ - didn’t have a previous track record of odd behaviour? Were they known to the police, if so why was their allegation against me taken seriously? 11. Why did Police Commissioner Roger Hirst give an interview to LBC in which he talked about ā€œcrimesā€. I wasn’t charged with any crime, though, was I? 12. Whose decision was it to declare, No Further Action? Did the CPS tell you you didn’t have a cat’s chance of obtaining a conviction? 13. More generally, your force issues 700 Non-Crime Hate Incidents a year. Do you think that’s a good use of police time or do you think the public would prefer you to catch criminals? 14. I am left devastated by Essex Police’s treatment, suffering anxiety and dark thoughts. Do you think what you did to me is acceptable in a free society? How do you decide what is Hate Speech? Be grateful for your answers because I’m still shocked and baffled. As are millions of normal people. Allison @Hirst4EssexPFCC @RogerHirst

We passed Labour the fastest growing economy in the G7. But their doom-and-gloom rhetoric knocked consumer and investor confidence. Now they’re hiking taxes on jobs. It’s set to go from bad to worse.
UK economic growth slows to 0.1% between July and September, official figures show bbc.in/3O6d19Q

Replying to @EssexPoliceUK
@EssexPoliceUK say it was ā€œunethicalā€ of me to report my awful experience at the hands of two constables. Really? The British people deserve to be informed about the Kafkaesque state of their justice system. Instead of solving frightening crime police are frightening people.

Labour’s NICs rise will add Ā£11m to social care costs in Suffolk. They don’t seem to realise this isn’t a game with the Tories in Parliament. GPs, hospices, charities and pharmacies are waiting for ministers to come up with a solution to the problem they created. My question:

We’re not normally the protesting type us Pharmacy folk. Results of the @NPA1921 ballot show overwhelming support for action.Ā  For me, my Pharmacy is more than my day job. It’s my family’s legacy, we’ve owned & run it for 45 years. But enough is enough for so many of us now

independentpharmacist.co.uk/… Unfortunately Gerard isn’t wrong - the most difficult times we have been put through will just get increasingly more so - and we have warned continually the officials here do no realise or maybe do not want to realise the amount of unfunded work we do

Shamefully, Labour have managed to clobber charities with their NICs rise. The @NCVO, who campaign on behalf of UK charities, have written to Rachel Reeves telling her that the tax hike will cost the sector an additional Ā£1.4bn a year, and 3 in 4 charities are already reducing their services to cut costs ncvo.org.uk/news-and-insight… [4/5]

Angry about the Budget? The @NPA1921 has raised the concerns of pharmacy owners about the increase in NI employers' contributions and unfunded increases in National Living Wage that may push many pharmacies to the brink in the Sun, Express and on the BBC. thesun.co.uk/health/31473494…

In the last 24 hours 3 of my suppliers put their prices up on the back of higher employment costs Not only will we need to increase our own prices due to NI on our own labour costs rising, but now also because of higher material costs Reeve’s budget is an inflationary disaster!

This is utterly superb. Tom Hunter gives Labour MP Darren Jones a simple and well needed lesson in economic growth. Labour are full of career politicians who've never had a job. It's terrifying this even needs to be explained! Worth a watch šŸ”„ #bbcqt

This is painful to watch. Robotic Rachel Reeves is rightly called out for lying to the public before the election, breaking manifesto promises, and her fictional 'Ā£22bn black hole'. She's rattled and completely out of her depth. This is an absolute car crash.
