I do not recommend watching Backrooms in a theater that’s in a mall that closes before the movie is over, just in case anyone was considering doing that.

Side note: If the US and Iran can literally sign a peace deal electronically why is it when you buy a house in the United States you have to pay thousands to some bullshit title company

‘you will accept bad ugly CGI or else you are not a real cinephile’ what are we doing here
Complaining about the CGI in Disclosure Day is a great tell for whether you actually Pay Attention At The Movies.

— Disclosure Day was a terrible movie—boring, bloated, outdated (would have been slightly better as a 90s film), derivative—with bad CGI and no plot payoff. Forget about getting any new insights into anything. I definitely could have written a much better script.

They also all die if you feed them the slightly wrong species of moss So there's like a balance or something
tardigrades survived being shot out of a gun at 900 meters per second and lived. they survived the vacuum of space. they survived radiation levels that would kill a human 1000x over. they did this by essentially turning off. they replace all the water in their body with glass. LITERAL GLASS. and then they just wait. for decades if they have to. then you add water and they wake up and start reproducing.

Hasan Piker is saying the quiet part out loud. Jihadi Mamdani is just the beginning. Democrats want to fully transform America into communist China. It starts with Mamdani and ends with bread lines and mass famines. We can’t let them do this to America. x.com/RNCResearch/status/206…

Freddy, take the route through Waco on I-35. Go to Czech Stop.
Our plan for the coming days: We‘ll be staying in Texas for a few more days and return to Houston on the 17th for the Portugal vs Congo match. After that match we‘ll jump straight into the car to start driving towards Oklahoma City for the Ella Langley concert on the 18th.

I actually agree with this. The movie is predicated on a thing that does everything, and a person who knows everything, and that's a pretty cheap way to build a plot.
Spoiler Alert: Disclosure Day isn't really about aliens or anything like that. It's about magical glow sticks that are never explained or exposited, but comprise the overwhelming bulk of the plot. They also do whatever Spielberg and Koepp need them to do whenever the plot runs aground.

What you don’t see is the suffering I endure everyday trying my very best to stay positive and not post anything mean or evil on here but I need to break my silence and let you know that I thought Disclosure Day was one of the biggest piles of shit I’ve ever seen. Horrible, stupid, absurd but not in an entertaining way, so poorly written it borders on abusive, ridiculous but also deeply boring, just complete and total shit ass.

Have a take I'm not committed to, which is that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull's issue is that he wishes he was making Disclosure Day and Disclosure Day's issue is that he wishes he was making Crystal Skull

The problem with Disclosure Day is that it's not a good movie. Discussions about whether or not the ethics align with your personal beliefs do little to solve baffling direction choices.

Ok. So I had to see "Disclosure Day" to form my own opinion. First of all. A good movie could definitely be made based on the concept of UFO disclosure. This is not that movie. It's two hours of meaningless and stupid car chases with some psychic nonsense thrown in ending with a public mass disclosure event. A better movie would have left out the car chases, *started* with the mass disclosure event, and then spent the next two hours diving into what comes after and what it all means. I would give this movie a 3 out of 10 and I feel that is being generous. Spielberg had one chance to shoot his shot here and it was a major, major, miss.

J'ai vu 'Disclosure Day" et quelle déception ! C'est ultra-cliché, enfantin et incohérent. Les aliens qui ne choisissent QUE des Américains et se cachent dans des oiseaux ? Les méchants en SUV... Sérieux ? Et ce cut final sur "Listen"... pour faire "profond". Quelle paresse!
