PAVEL DUROV: The excuse used by Keir Starmer of "protecting children" online is a lie and the hallmark of authoritarian tyranny: all tyrants use it, the real goal was included in the "Online Safety Act" and it was to control large social media platforms.

Want to save the West? Start by telling your children the truth. A society that teaches its children to hate their inheritance shouldn't be surprised when they fail to preserve it. Teach your children gratitude. Teach them why freedom matters. Teach them what made the West successful. Because if you don't tell them the truth about their civilisation, someone else will tell them a lie.

It's quite straightforward as to why Restore Britain is not going to fall into the trap of policing its own membership. When the status quo demands that you police random members of your party, what they are doing is containment. They are insisting that their rules are valid, and that you must abide by them. If you agree with this, it is the end of your movement. Instead of applying your own standards, you apply theirs, and find yourself drawn into their dialectic, instead of your own. Also, you are thrust into a battle with your own membership that is fundamentally unwinnable. The momentum that the insurgent party builds by rebuking the containment mechanisms of the status quo is dissipated, and the outward-facing energy of the movement turns inwards and it begins to cannibalise itself. Instead of expanding and threatening the status quo, it begins contracting and losing ground. No longer is it pushing outwards and converting new members, it is now salami-slicing off existing members and reducing itself to meet a standard set by its enemies. Purity spirals create the opportunity to form new hierarchies for people who are otherwise unable to climb to the top. Suddenly the party is staffed and commanded by people who are not fit for purpose, and slowly but surely the entire thing collapses in on itself. This is why Restore Britain is not policing its own membership. Anyone is free to join or leave a party; the membership is just the membership, they don't get to determine the direction of travel. What matters is the structure and leadership of the party. Creating a big tent is vital for success. Tone policing members destroys the big tent. In summary, we will not fall for such obvious containment traps. We intend to win.
