Our team has been operating in severe weather and damaged areas throughout the night in Middle Tennessee. This morning after search and rescue operations we're using our drones to create damage maps.

Severe storms are possible on Thursday, mainly from late morning through the afternoon along and ahead of a cold frontal passage. Once again, damaging straight-line winds and isolated tornadoes are the primary threats. Localized flooding during heavy downpours is also possible.

Our team was out with @MTSU Aerospace Program students today discussing UAS (drone) use for search and rescue and how to work with the @FAADroneZone for waivers.
Thanks @DJIGlobal for providing us with our new M300 aircraft which we were also able to demonstrate today.

Our team is out on a follow up search for a missing person in Cummins Falls State Park today. Multiple agencies have returned to the area in an attempt to bring closure to a case from February 2021.

These scenarios are important for our team as we prepare for responses to all types of hazardous incidents like building collapses and law enforcement support.
