I fear we are raising up a generation of young ministry leaders who know how to Sabbath but not how to suffer. Many value margin and mental health, but where are those with a burning zeal, a burden for the lost, and a commitment to costly personal disciple-making? I am not saying we should abandon wise rhythms, but I wonder if we have lost some of what compelled Paul to say, “I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls” 2 Corinthians 12:15

This is a bigger deal than people realize. As @BenSasse says, people weren’t made to be carrying a 24-hour a day casino in their pockets. Gambling is a dangerous and potentially ruinous pastime. The contact access through smartphones is going to maim a generation.

Breaking: Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby is checking into a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction, sources told @PeteThamel. He’s under NCAA investigation in the wake of the discovery of Sorsby making thousands of bets via a gambling app.

Been thinking about church but haven't gone for a while? Get started tomorrow. Find one that preaches the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, and you'll be off to a great start.

This week marks three years since Fort Caroline called me as their Lead Pastor. Hard to believe that much time has passed! I am so grateful to God for this church, for the way they've loved my family, and their commitment to reaching their community for Christ! On to year four!

It’s crazy that @NASA has been releasing such quality photos of the moon. And I don’t want to be *that* guy, but I’ve just noticed some things that I don’t think add up. Let me explain 👇🏼

“What would you say to a young Christian who is nervous about the future?” I love @TimKellerNYC’s answer. I think about it every Easter.

Regardless of what happens in the second half, these Noles are special. Amazing turnaround we’ve seen this year.

Team USA defeats Canada in overtime to take Gold in women's hockey. An absolutely filthy game winner by Megan Keller. 🇺🇸 x.com/SportsMedi29184/status…

This looks like a great study for churches and groups who are serious about evangelism in today's culture. makingsenseofus.com/

“To whom much is given, much is required.” It doesn’t matter whether posting the vile and racist clip of the Obamas was a mistake or not, it happened from the highest office in the land and should be outright condemned (regardless of who’s in office) We shouldn’t twist ourselves into pretzels making excuses for it. Uphold the honor of the office and expect and demand excellence from everyone who’s in public office. Christians should always be on the forefront of proclaiming the inherent dignity, worth and value of every single person — regardless of whether we agree or disagree with them. We bear His image and Christians should call everyone to the highest standard of dignity, not the lowest bar.

Loves Jesus. Great husband, dad, and pastor. Humble. Super gifted. Loves SBC and wants to serve our convention well and would do so with humility, winsomeness, and wisdom. Happy to throw my hat in for @JoshuaWPowell. baptistpress.com/resource-li…

I can’t co-sign this enough.
If you are a younger minister of the gospel, don't sleep on the soft skills that are required for influence. Yes, preaching, teaching, and theology are indispensable. But don't neglect things like: Reading the room Writing handwritten notes Picking up on social cues Eye contact
