Vaishali will challenge the reigning Women's World Champion Ju Wenjun in the upcoming FIDE Women's World Championship match. Going into the final round, Vaishali had a score of 7.5/14 points - same as Bibisara Assaubayeva. Divya Deshmukh drew against Bibisara in a wild game, and Vaishali scored a dominating win over Kateryna Lagno - with this win, she became the Champion! On 10 April 2018, information was received about the presence of terrorists at a house in Khudwani village, Kulgam, J&K. Based on the information, a decision was taken by the security forces to launch an operation to flush out the terrorists. The operation was launched by a joint team of 1 RR battalion of the Army, Special Operation Group(SOG) of J&K Police @JmuKmrPolice and CRPF @crpfindia at around 11:30 pm. The joint team swung into action and the suspected area was cordoned off. A fierce gun battle broke out that lasted over 17 hours. During the anti-terror ops, Naik Nainwal took 2 bullets. He suffered an injury to his spine, paralyzing him waist down. The #IndianBrave was evacuated to Army Research & Referral Hospital, New Delhi, and then to Command Hospital, Pune, where the brave succumbed after battling for 40 long days on 20 May 2018. 🏵️
