Went back to Disclosure Day for a 2nd look. What became painfully apparent was that Spielberg made an analog movie in a digital world. Not a comment on the production. But it’s loaded with old ideas of edge that have since become worn out. In micro, his skills and the skills of the cast and crew deliver. But in macro, it feels like he and the screenwriter just didn’t answer the challenging questions… like why not just put it all online from the start? Or is every chase “find the target… send 5 dark cars.” Drones weren’t a thing in the 80s and 90s. They are ubiquitous now. It feels like a film from someone who really likes what they did. It doesn’t feel like someone overcoming the broken sharks of 2026. It’s an entire movie leading to getting on local broadcast TV.

Esse filme é uma verdadeira ofensa para a imagem dos super-heróis. E, se formos falar da construção de universo proposta, ele não respeita nem o público comum de cinema. Era o total oposto do MCU: em 2012, a cena pós-créditos de Os Vingadores mostrou o Thanos, mas, na minha sessão, algumas pessoas o confundiram com o Hellboy KK. Mas, em 2015, a cena pós-créditos de Vingadores: Era de Ultron foi mais compreensível, pois o público já sabia quem era o Thanos. Isso mostrava a preparação do universo, já estavam divulgando o Vingadores: Guerra Infinita (2018) aos poucos. Quando voltamos para a concorrência, quando o Flash apareceu no pesadelo do Bruce Wayne, nem eu sabia que se tratava da porra do Flash. É tanto personagem que o filme apresenta, é tanta promessa para o futuro e é tanta deturpação da figura do herói que ele se esquece de fazer uma construção lógica. O fandom é o grupo de pessoas que estão ligadas nos bastidores, mas o público comum costuma decidir o que vai assistir pelas bilheterias ou por um comercial de TV... e a DC não respeitava ninguém naquela época.
