$ONDS This is a topic that’s been taking over much of my Ondas thesis reflection lately. I do not know who is paying attention to what is happening in Europe right now, but I don’t think many people are connecting the dots. The markets most certainly are not. We are clearly watching the early stages of an autonomous defense ecosystem being assembled in real time, and the validation is starting to show up everywhere. Let’s dig in. First off, as @YoYInvestor beautifully highlighted, the key signal out of this ONBERG / Skyeton MOU isn’t just the deal itself. It’s this line: “Future defense architecture…” Said by the Head of Armaments from the German Ministry of Defence. Read that again. That is not product language. That is some serious systems-level language. Skyeton is not an isolated event. It is another data point in an emerging pattern. Let’s just pause for a second and lay out what has actually happened in a very short window: • Iron Drone selected by a major German defense customer • Heidelberg enters the picture bringing industrial-scale manufacturing capability • ONBERG formed specifically to build autonomous defense capabilities in Europe • HDAT and autonomous ground systems integrated into the broader construct • LODUS and MODUS gaining visibility in European autonomy conversations • World View adding the stratospheric ISR layer, expanding the altitude spectrum of the platform • Skyeton / Raybird entering with a battle-proven ISR system with 350,000 combat flight hours • German defense leadership explicitly framing these initiatives as part of Europe’s “future defense architecture” Now ask yourself this. At what point does this stop looking like a collection of partnerships and start looking like a strategy? Because viewed in isolation, each one is easy to underappreciate. Viewed together, a different structure starts to emerge. Not a product pipeline. Rather an ecosystem forming around autonomous defense capabilities across air, ground, and stratospheric layers and with Germany increasingly acting as the industrial anchor. And that’s the part I think people are missing. That’s where the eyes open wide. Germany is not a passive participant in this shift. For decades it was not viewed as the center of European defense expansion. That is changing, rapidly. • €100B defense modernization program • structurally rising defense budgets • explicit push toward sovereign manufacturing capability • growing demand for domestically anchored autonomous systems And right in the middle of that shift, ONBERG keeps showing up. Not in France. Not in the UK. Germany. That matters more than people think. Because it suggests this is not just a collection of opportunistic partnerships but rather it may be a coordinated positioning into the core of Europe’s next-generation defense industrial base. So zoom out. And think about all the shit that is happening in Germany. Individually, they look like separate announcements. Collectively, they start to resemble components of something larger, almost like, Future Defense Architecture. And lately, a lot of different roads seem to be converging on the same architecture.
