This work would not have been possible with out the talented Nathan Jentink, Carson Purnell, and Brianna Kable (all seemingly twitterless). And, of course, the great Sergei Grigoryev who has graciously guided us into the world of chromatin structure. What a fascinating topic!
Scientists find that in native human chromatin, nucleosomes stack non-uniformly and histone citrullination causes partial chromatin unfolding. Previous studies in reconstituted systems had shown uniform stacking and complete unfolding. #cryoET @SwuliusLab ow.ly/ENag50PKmGB
