If you're not from NY or never been I can't describe the feeling right now. We eat, sleep, and breath hoops, but it's so much deeper. It's the embodiment of grit and never say quit paying off after decades of failures and doubt. We can all resonate with what just happened here.

I think what gets lost in translation is people who don't like Marathon think people are saying hey play this game you don't like so we have a chance at D3. You don't have to like or play it, while still rooting for Bungie to find success so by proxy you may see a future for D3.
Half the community is going to hate me for saying this, but the only way to keep Bungie alive right now is to support Marathon. People keep comparing Marathon numbers to Destiny and frankly, that's ignorant. Marathon was never designed to do Bungie numbers. The conversations about that were very upfront early. It's more aligned with Tarkov than Destiny. Completely different target markets that just so happen to have a wide intersection with Destiny target markets since it uniquely has so many.

The alternative is proactively rooting for the failure of Marathon and possible end of Bungie. What's happened to Destiny is unfortunate mismanagement from individuals who are no longer at Bungie. The people left are dealing with the fallout.

The hand we're dealt as players is the hand. As a Day 1 Guardian, I personally enjoy Marathon and choose to play, you don't have to.
I choose to support Destiny in every way I can, root for Bungie's success period and keep hope alive for a future that hasn't been written yet.

Yesterday was AMAZING for Destiny 2 and the Community, but it won't stop there. Keep showing up. The entire game is alive and refreshed. There's so much more loot to chase, gods to slay, and memories to be made. Keep the momentum going!
