A confirmed case of New World screwworm has been detected in Zavala County. TSCRA has spent the past 18 months working alongside @USDA, @TAHC and @TPWDnews to prepare. Monitor livestock and wildlife, know the signs and report potential cases immediately.

TSCRA is working closely with USDA officials as new cases are being reported. New cases are updated on screwworm.gov bi-weekly and we encourage all producers to visit the site for accurate information.
New World screwworm is NOT in the U.S. and @USDA continues to deploy proven technology and nationwide outreach to stay ahead of this pest and protect livestock, pets, wildlife, and people.
