With over 75% of the vote in I no longer have to hold my tongue… but yes, I left the breadcrumbs for people to find what many Republicans across New Jersey were saying privately throughout this primary:
Alex Zdan chose to run a campaign built far too often on deception, manufactured narratives, misleading endorsement claims, and confusing ballot slogans designed to manipulate low-information voters rather than inspire them.
That is not how you build trust.
That is not how you strengthen a party.
And that is not how you defeat entrenched political machines like Cory Booker’s.
Republicans cannot claim to stand for integrity while tolerating tactics that make voters lose faith in the process itself.
Three candidates largely ran campaigns focused on issues and vision for New Jersey. One repeatedly chose political theater and deception.
The primary is over now, but the lesson should remain:
If we want a stronger New Jersey GOP, we must stop rewarding bad-faith campaign tactics simply because they are politically convenient.
I really wish those who know about certain candidates in a state would let voters know this information prior to voting instead of putting hints out there where we find out when it’s too late
