Hoteit notes he was standing in an open area, clearly identified as press with markings on his car, vest, helmet, and equipment, when the drone targeted his position. أصدر معهد السياسات اليهودية، الأحد، تقريره السنوي حول واقع المجتمع الإسرائيلي، كاشفا عن مؤشرات تعكس حالة مقلقة في توجهات الرأي العام داخل إسرائيل. وأظهر التقرير أن 55% من الإسرائيليين يعتبرون الاستقطاب الداخلي التهديد الأخطر الذي يواجه البلاد، متقدما بفارق كبير على التهديد النووي الإيراني الذي حل في المرتبة الثانية بنسبة 23%. كما كشف التقرير عن تنامي المخاوف من تفاقم الانقسام الداخلي، إذ أعرب ستة من كل عشرة إسرائيليين عن اعتقادهم بوجود خطر حقيقي يتمثل في اندلاع أعمال عنف داخلية قد تصل إلى حد الحرب الأهلية. وكشف التقرير عن تراجع ثقة شريحة واسعة من العلمانيين بمستقبل إسرائيل، إذ أقر نحو نصفهم بأنهم لا يرونها المكان الأنسب والأكثر أمانا للأجيال القادمة. وفي ملف التجنيد، أظهرت النتائج وجود فجوة واضحة بين مكونات المجتمع، فبينما يؤيد نحو 80% من الإسرائيليين تحمل الجميع أعباء الخدمة العسكرية الإلزامية، يعارض 79% من الحريديم التجنيد الإجباري، حتى ضمن الأطر المقترحة. كما سجل الحريديم أدنى مستوى في مؤشر التقارب الاجتماعي مقارنة ببقية الفئات، ما يعكس استمرار اتساع الفجوات داخل المجتمع الإسرائيلي. ورصد التقرير ارتفاعا في مستوى التفاؤل العام داخل المجتمع الإسرائيلي، إذ بلغ متوسطه 7.13 درجات، إلا أن هذا الارتفاع يخفي تباينا حادا بين التيارات السياسية. ففي حين سجل أنصار اليمين مستوى تفاؤل مرتفعا بلغ 9.05 درجات، تراجع المؤشر لدى أنصار اليسار إلى 3.67 درجات، وهو أدنى مستوى يسجل، بما يعكس اتساع الفجوة الأيديولوجية بين المعسكرين. كما خلص التقرير إلى أن الحرب دفعت الرأي العام الإسرائيلي نحو مزيد من التأييد لتيار اليمين، خاصة بين فئة الشباب.

After hearing different sources on the ground and knowing the eastern outskirts of Deir al-Balah and Abu-AlAJeen tribe so well, I can confirm that the Israeli military kidnapped the child Rayan Abu-AlJeen and his father yesterday from southeast Deir al-Balah in Abu-AlJeen Area while they were inspecting their neighbourhood and house. Israel obliterated the eastern parts of Deir al-Balah in August 2024 and continued doing so sporadically by intense artillery shelling and frequent incursions and fire belts. Journalists on the ground report that the Israeli army released the two a few hours later today at pre-dawn. They arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The child was deceased. The man was seriously injured. According to the X-ray examination and clinic analyses, the child died from a gunshot to his eye. The father is now receiving very urgent and intensive treatment. Israel murdered around 10 people and wounded several others yesterday, as per medical reports in Gaza. Israel has killed nearly 1000 people since the ceasefire on Oct 10th. As per local sources and documentation by eyewitnesses in the besieged territory, Israel and its militias have kidnapped around 100 people since the ceasefire, including children and women. Some returned corpses. Some are still in custody. Others' fate is mysterious. Israel continues to stretch its military bases into the Deir al-Balah eastern regions. Eyewitnesses and families told me they always hear Incessant firing and artillery shelling from tanks and levers. Drones don't stop buzzing overhead as well. Moreover, obliteration of houses and constant explosions continued to be heard across south, central, and north Gaza in the Israel-beleaguered Yellow Line Areas. Israel's expanded occupation beyond the Yellow Line has reduced the city, which was once 15 square kilometres, to almost half of its original size. The normal pre-Oct 7 population is up to 80,000 people, very densely at the time. Now, it's nearly 500,000. Deir al-Balah is deemed the capital of Gaza right now, where INGOs and equipped hospitals and makeshift clinics operate to serve the increasingly terrorised and traumatised population.
