In terms of section 6 of the Parliamentary Ethics code she must now either surrender the vehicle back to the donor or not vote at all.
This is CCC MP S. Mureyanyi. She has collected a 2026 Fortuner plus USD$50000 "#gifted" by Chivhayo on behalf of "the president". Meanwhile she is expected to vote on CAB3 tomorrow in parliament. She is brandishing the cash ahead of the vote.

Mark this tweet. Has this gift been registered with Parliament? Did this MP contribute to the debate on #CAB3? Will this MP vote on #CAB3?

We don't attack the president for fun. We criticise his leadership because we want a better Zimbabwe for everyone not for a few. Zvawaita izvi is the reason why we think CAB3 must be stopped. Chii chakadero? What's there to defend 🤔. Munoyangadza mese.

If Zimbabwe had women with real reasoning skills like this, they would’ve ended ZANU PF ages ago, not the ones twerking for chicken at rallies. @JMafume, the streets are angry. @edmnangagwa, please #MakeZimbabweGreatAgain. 46 years in power and still nothing to show? You can’t blow millions campaigning for more time when you’ve failed for decades. Fix the country, fix the economy or step aside for those who can. ✊🏾🇿🇼

"We want an electoral system the citizens can trust" – Hon. Chikombo Hon. Chikombo delivered a passionate rejection of Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (#CAB3) in Parliament, arguing that the proposed changes fail to address the real issues facing Zimbabwe's democracy. According to Chikombo, the Bill does not eliminate electoral toxicity, heal national divisions, or strengthen reconciliation. Instead, he warned that it centralises power and takes decision-making further away from ordinary citizens. "Election toxicity is not removed by extending terms, but by reforming power," he said. He argued that Zimbabwe does not need fewer elections, it needs better elections that are free, credible, and trusted by the people. In one of the most striking moments of his presentation, Chikombo said the Bill "transfers power from the citizens" and sends the message that "their vote is dangerous." Watch the full video to hear his detailed arguments and decide for yourself: Does Zimbabwe need constitutional amendments, or does it need electoral reforms that restore public trust? 🎥 Watch now and join the conversation. #CAB3 #Zimbabwe #Parliament #ElectoralReform #Democracy #Governance #ZimbabwePolitics

Hon Lynette Kore stood firm today in Parliament strongly objecting to the passage of the #illegal CAB3. She exposed in meticulous and detailed exposure on the lack of human tragedy and suffering Zimbabweans are going through at the moment on the hands of the current regime.

Just in case anyone forgets, CCC MP Susan Matsunga received a US$50,000 cash gift and a brand new car from Wicknell Chivayo a few weeks ago. This week she has spoken out firmly in Parliament in favour of #CAB3. If this isn’t inducement then I don’t know what is.

‘Parliament Does Not Belong to a Few Voices’: Hon. Mamombe Slams Rush to Close CAB3 Debate Harare West MP Hon. Joana Ruvimbo Mamombe has condemned what she called an “unacceptable” push to end debate on Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 before all legislators have spoken. In a statement released, Mamombe said she had repeatedly registered to contribute but was not given the floor. "The rush to close DEBATE on #CAB3 is UNACCEPTABLE!!!… I have repeatedly registered my name to DEBATE this Bill but have not been given the opportunity to contribute," Mamombe said. She warned that shutting down debate early violates parliamentary procedure and public trust. "Closing debate before all willing MPs have had a reasonable opportunity to participate undermines the spirit of parliamentary democracy. We represent thousands of citizens whose voices deserve to be heard on a Bill that seeks to fundamentally change our Constitution. Parliament does not belong to a few voices!!!" she added. CAB3 proposes extending Presidential, MP and Councillor terms from five to seven years and replacing direct presidential elections with a parliamentary vote. Critics say the Bill strikes at core constitutional provisions on term limits and electoral rights. Mamombe’s remarks come as debate continues in the House, with opposition MPs accusing the Speaker of fast-tracking the process. Several MPs have raised procedural objections this week, citing Standing Orders that require fair opportunity for debate.

Thank you @gladyshlatywayo for speaking out about the fact that the #CAB3 public hearings were a violent and chaotic sham. If the Deputy Speaker wants more evidence beyond your eye-witness testimony, I am available to come and give evidence to Parliament about the attack by ZANU PF Central Committee member Luckmore Gapa, Nicholas Hamadziripi, and others who have not been held accountable to this day despite my making a police report against them.
