The Republic of Ireland and ‘northern Ireland’ having two different teams is inherently political. Sport is political. Playing a genocidal regime normalises both the regime and the genocide. Maybe keep genocide out of football. Cunts.
Let our players play - keep politics out of sport. @MichaelC_IND_TD #FAI #IRELAND #UEFA

Ask the Birmingham six or the Guildford four if trumped up charges of terrorism are a new thing by the brit government.
Terrorism Act is 2000. Erosion of trial by jury also begins at start of century but has been accelerated since 2024. This particular trial shaped by laws passed since 2020. Much of what is now taken for granted was inconceivable until very recently.

Have you ever, just once, in your comfortable cosseted life, considered not being a massive cunt? Also, it’s their, you semi illiterate prick.
One of the keys to understanding the elite Irish left, is they're energy source is reliant on envy, their begrudgery, the fact that they don't want ordinary boggers to succeed without going through their stupid rites of passage. They want you to be dependent on them, so they can focus on important things like making sure men can play in women's sports, use women's bathrooms, the big stuff. For this enlightened leadership they'll tax you to death and after it because they think you're too dumb to know what to do with the money you earned. You might start to buy 'big gaffs' and the like. Underlying it all is not an urge to help 'the little people'. When someone from that background is seen to be somehow successful, they gag on it, because it debunks their whole world view.

#Ireland — Boys 1985 and SRFC Ultras unveiled simultaneous banners in the stands reading “Not Here, Not Anywhere – Shame on the FAI.” The protest came after the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) decided to stage the match against Israel outside the country.

I’m a Palestinian football journalist who was in contact with the Palestinian Football Association during the genocide and has covered most of the sporting tragedy in Gaza, including the mass murder of athletes & mass destruction of the sports scene. There’s an obvious misunderstanding of the geopolitical events happening worldwide within the PFA and pressure from the very notorious Palestinian Authority on them. This is definitely not the position of Palestinians. The Palestinians’ position is clear: Ban the game against Israel.
The Palestinian Football Association has thanked the FAI following the decision to fulfil Ireland’s upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Israel. In a statement released by the FAI, the Palestinian Football Association said: “The Palestinian Football Association expresses its appreciation for the principled positions taken by the Football Association of Ireland in support of the rights of the Palestinian people and Palestinian athletes. The Palestinian Football Association also affirms its respect for the decision made by the Football Association of Ireland within the framework of its sporting and international obligations.” The statement comes after the FAI confirmed that Ireland’s Nations League fixture against Israel on October 4th will be played at a neutral venue behind closed doors following approval from UEFA.

Because we’re scheduled to play a state commuting genocide and war crimes. A state which has colonised someone else’s land. We’ve been colonised Aidan, it’s no fun, so we tend to stand against the colonisers. #StopTheGame #NotHereNotAnywhere
They can’t even leave sport alone without turning it into a vehicle for their own ideological preoccupations. And by this I mean @rte, because Richie Sadlier would be let nowhere near a studio to comment politically if his views weren’t approved. Tax & TV Licence payer funded.

Sham thinks he made a point here. #StopTheGame #NotHereNotAnywhere
Let's just have a poll before we play every match. Even better, just arrange the fixtures according who Irish Twitter likes this week. Expect lots of friendlies against Cuba and North Korea.

Firstly, thanks for speeding the show Isreal the red card message. Secondly, the left’s obsession is with a western armed, facilitated, funded and excused genocide. Were complaining about sportswashing an apartheid regime
The Irish Left's unhinged obsession with Israel knows no bounds. First they didn't want the Israeli team to come to Dublin. Now they're complaining the Israeli team WON'T be coming to Dublin as it "will deny the Irish people an opportunity to engage in peaceful protest". rte.ie/sport/soccer/2026/060…

Not only should the games against Israel not be played, it shouldn’t be an issue. The political, cultural, academic and sporting boycott of South Africa was instrumental in ending the apartheid regime. The same needs to be applied to the genocide regime in occupied Palestine.

Fascists? In Ukraine? Well fuck me pink
The Washington Post Whitewashes 🇺🇦Neo-Nazis In a recent article on drones and modern warfare, The Washington Post presents Yevhen Karas simply as a military commander and expert, giving him extensive quotes and portraying him as a wartime hero. Missing is any mention of his leadership role in C14, the neo-Nazi group linked to anti-Roma pogroms in Kyiv, violence against LGBTQ people, and other acts of political violence. Members of this network once tried to kill a friend of mine. Karas’s associates have also taken part in seizures of churches belonging to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Karas openly threatens opponents and appears to enjoy political protection. He is a deeply controversial figure, disliked by many Ukrainian servicemen themselves. Yet for The Washington Post, he is simply a respected commander and expert. Journalism requires context. Omitting it sanitizes reality. Shame.

Utterly bonkers that the national broadcaster would cover a league of Ireland grassroots campaign to #StopTheGame against Israel? Should Irish views not be represented on rte Keith? Or just Irish views that align with your agenda?
So @RTEsport in the last week: Posts of the World Cup (starting next week) : 2 Posts on thr matches with Israel (scheduled for 3 months tIme): 14 UTTERLY BONKERS

Take your sport and politics don’t mix nonsense and shove it up your hoop. #StopTheGame
Israel has arrested two Palestinian women’s national team players, Natalie Abu Dayyeh & Rand Al Halawini. The Palestine FA described it as part of the systematic targeting of their athletes. Will the same media who were concerned about Iran’s women footballers say anything now?

Great stuff from Martin here. Playing Israel helps normalise their participation in UEFA competitions. There is nothing normal about this genocidal apartheid regime. #StopTheGame

Gaza had no airport, flattened by Israel. Gaza had no tourism, stopped by Israel. ‘Twenty years later a booming economic success’ in 2025 Gaza was being bombarded by Israeli bombs. Cox, for once in your lousy, sorry existence, stop being a fuckin prick
Why is the fact that israel got rid of all settlements in gaza in 2005, never mentioned, & the fact that instead of 20 years later gaza being a booming economic success, with massive tourism as well, palestinians stupidly elected hamas terrorists who restarted the war instead

Nails it. No excuses to play this match. Nobody else in UEFA will stand up to Israel, it’s about time we did. #StopTheGame
If @FAIreland choose to play Israel, their board is guilty, their management is guilty, their players who line out are guilty, their sponsors are guilty, and paying fans are guilty. Major cost. Fuck the points. Walk away. It'll again put a spotlight on Israel and what they are, increase pressure on other opponents to man up which moves it to @UEFA and @FIFAcom as precedent set and tournament undermined, that moves to other sports and then other areas. I care deeply about the Irish national team in football. This would destroy that bond and waste an opening to show what we are and stand for. We aren't winning the Euros (not that would be an excuse) but this would in history make us stand out for standing up. I fear terribly they won't.
