Cast aside emotions over who won or lost. Northern Nevada is no longer isolated from DC/Vegas politics. I’m now convinced that even Mark Amodei himself would have lost this race if he had campaigned in his usual way. It also shows that newcomers to Nevada really don’t care about “5th Generation _______”. As one of those newcomers I have to say we get tired of “Old Nevada” getting thrown in our faces. We don't want to change anything, we love living here and CHOSE to live here but we don't want to be cast aside as "your not Old Nevada". Like I said yesterday, it’s going to make things interesting. I know this district better than any. If you look at the 2022 election the current Dem nominee for Gov nearly won the district. It’s going to be the most expensive general election the district has ever seen because Dems will want the Republicans playing defense spending in a seat that’s normally safe. Keep an eye on it.
