With the current situation facing North Carolina families, we want to help. We have a tech who is on stand by to help CERT, SAR, ARES, their volunteers and any EOC offices that are using the AnyTone 878, 578, 168, TYT MD-UV390, or Retevis RT3S radios, get them programmed for providing support as well relief efforts.
We can't help with every request, but we can damn sure try. Be safe, and thank you in advance to all the Volunteers, and First Responders for everything you do.

These are facts. Regardless of if it's Analog or DMR, these tips apply across the board. Tools you should have are a SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) meter, proper grounding for your station, and an understanding of what frequencies work best during daylight hours vs nighttime hours, just to name a few.
Whether you're new to DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) or a seasoned operator, DMR Support is here to help you. As we're getting ready to launch soon - unlike others who overpromise and underdeliver - we’re bringing real support. No BS. #HamRadio#AmateurRadio#dmrradio@hamradio2dot0#DMR#Digitalmobileradio@arrl
Hey everyone,
Just a reminder, the MOST DMR radios, can do DMR and Analog both. Just because you aren't near a DMR repeater or hotspot, doesn't make your DMR Radio useless. Keep a list of Analog repeaters programmed in as well in case of an emergency.

Did you attend Dayton Hamvention? What were your thoughts? What did you like, and what didn't you like? Did you go see the vendors that were selling DMR radios and hotspots?
Did you know that when you build a simple codeplug for your radio, it's best to make a list of the talkgroups that you will most likely use, and only upload those into the codeplug software? This allows you to set up your channels faster, and keeps things tidy. #DMRTechTip
Up to six inches of hail has accumulated west of Lovington, New Mexico.
Hail fog is ongoing where the hail has rapidly cooled the near-surface air below its dew point.
Snowplows are needed; treat this as you would driving in snow.
As exciting as it may be, Updating the firmware to the latest version on your radio, isn't always the best option. Always check the Change Log, and check the facebook and reddit groups to see if anyone has found bugs in the new firmware first. Usually good to wait a week or 2.
Did you know that DMR isn't has hard some Ham radio operators make it out to be? A DMR Talkgroup is just a "phone Number" for a group phone call for your radio. It allows you to "dial" in to the group call, talk to people that are on the line, and hang up when you are done.
