Take a look at our most recent #preprint from @TheDeNiscoLab cataloging the interaction between #biochemical #ecology and #microbial ecology in the urinary #microbiome of #postmenopausal women with recurrent #UTI. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… We used a highly multiplexed targeted #metabolomics assay from @biocrates_life, whole genome #metagenomics, and an eye towards ecological analysis to identify how the urinary microbiome is associated with the urinary #metabolome. We also uncover novel diagnostic and prognostic #biomarkers for recurrent urinary tract infection (#rUTI). If you have a chance to give it a read, we welcome any feedback. I'm particularly interested in any ideas you might have in biochemical beta diversity analysis!

Waking up to find that one of the most exciting lines of research in your lab has been scooped by a huge name in an adjacent field is not fun 😭 I know @PLOSBiology accepts scooped manuscripts. Does anyone else know of other journals with a similar policy? #ECRwoes #SciTwitter

I wrote to my Congressional Representative today. Thank you @urogynsociety for the heads up and example text. Please write your Congressperson this week!
This is IMPORTANT and I am so proud of @urogynsociety for rallying around this policy that will fail our patients. Contact your reps and spread far and wide so we can protect women’s health research funding!
