Timeline cleanse: There is a freshman on my team. I jokingly asked him before the game how many steals would he get. He responded & said as many as the lord allows. I wasn’t expecting that lol. Come to find out he reads scripture and prays on his own before every game.

Two Black boys running a lemonade stand received an unexpected show of support after someone called 911 on them. Instead of shutting them down, Kansas City police officers and firefighters showed up to support them, helping them earn hundreds of dollars. This is what community should look like! Investing in our youth instead off discouraging their entrepreneurship. ✊🏿

Be grateful for your blessings! To put it into perspective, someone somewhere is praying to be in your position. Remember that.

The older I get, the more I realize success means very little if you do not have the energy to enjoy it. The wins feel different when you are healthy enough to be present for them. To sit with your family, take care of yourself, move your body, clear your mind, and actually live the life you are working so hard to build. Ambition matters. Hard work matters. But so does rest, peace, and self-care. Your health is what keeps you in the game long enough to enjoy the people, moments, and victories that make it all worth it. #BusinessAdvice #SelfCare #Family

Eight years ago, Jonathan Roumie was “out of food,” out of government assistance, and at the end of himself. The actor, who now portrays Jesus in the global hit The Chosen, shared that he reached a moment where there was “nothing left to do” except fall to his knees and surrender everything to God. “[I had to] get on my knees and surrender my entire life and my career and everything that I had up to that point over to God,” Roumie said. “Because there wasn’t anything, I realized, I could do on my own.” That same day, he says he received “this incomprehensible financial miracle.” Just three months later, he booked the role that would change his life forever. “Eight years ago today, God changed the course of my life,” Roumie wrote. “The road ahead seemed impassable and impossible, but He had other plans.” Since then, millions around the world have watched Roumie bring Jesus to life on screen. Yet he says the greatest transformation has been spiritual. “I will spend every waking moment I can trying to live for Christ,” he said. “In every opportunity He gives me, I seek only to point others back to Him.” Quoting Matthew 11:28 — “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” — Roumie encouraged others to do what he did years ago. “I invite you to surrender your own struggles to God and watch how He transforms them.” As The Chosen films its seventh and final season, Roumie says he remains overwhelmed by gratitude for the journey God began when he had nothing left but prayer.
