Pastor Jonny Ardavanis is drawing attention after arguing that while women have immense value and influence in the church, the office of pastor or preacher should not be given in a way that violates what he believes Scripture teaches. He said a biblical church is not anti-woman, but must faithfully uphold God’s design for church leadership. At the same time, Ardavanis stressed that churches must not only say what women cannot do, but must also clearly affirm what women can and should do. He pointed to the powerful influence of women in teaching other women, training children, counseling, serving, sharing Christ, meeting needs, and helping shape the next generation of believers. For Ardavanis, different roles in the church do not mean different worth before God. His message reflects a traditional Christian conviction that women are essential to the life of the church, even while pastoral leadership remains defined by biblical order. #JonnyArdavanis #BiblicalTruth #WomenInMinistry #ChristianFaith #ChurchLeadership #BiblicalChurch #ScriptureAuthority #FaithAndDoctrine

A federal judge has indefinitely blocked the Trump administration from creating or operating a $1.776 billion fund intended to compensate people who claim they were victims of politically motivated government “lawfare” or weaponization. The fund originated from a settlement involving President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against the IRS over the disclosure of his tax information. A Justice Department order directed the Treasury to provide $1.776 billion for the program, which would have been empowered to review claims, issue apologies, and award monetary relief. The Justice Department later said it was no longer moving forward with the plan. But U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema ruled that public assurances were not enough because the order establishing the fund had not been formally rescinded and administration officials had not provided binding confirmation that it could never be revived. Brinkema issued a preliminary injunction keeping the fund frozen while the legal challenge continues and gave senior administration officials one week to submit sworn statements confirming whether the plan has been permanently abandoned. The ruling does not yet decide whether the fund itself is legal. Photo: Shutterstock #DonaldTrump #AntiWeaponizationFund #DepartmentOfJustice #FederalCourt #IRS #GovernmentAccountability #USPolitics

Tim Allen is opening up about the role faith has played in his life, sharing how pain, prison, regret, and sobriety all became part of a longer spiritual journey. After losing his father at a young age and later serving time in prison, Allen said he wrestled deeply with God, suffering, and the meaning of life. Though he admitted he spent years questioning the Creator, Allen said his path eventually led him to stop fighting for answers and to keep seeking God. He also reflected on the humility that came through failure, the importance of making amends, and the difference sobriety made in his life as a father. Allen has also recently spoken about reading the New Testament and being deeply moved by Scripture, showing that his faith journey is still unfolding. For many believers, his story is a reminder that God can keep drawing a person even through regret, loss, and long seasons of questioning. #TimAllen #FaithJourney #FindingGod #ChristianFaith #Sobriety #GodsGrace #NewTestament #HopeAfterFailure

Dr. Amanda Cooley had two newborn babies, a struggling daycare, and more bills than she knew how to cover when she felt God calling her to open a tuition-free Christian school. “I felt like, ‘How are you going to do it?’” Cooley recalled. “But I forgot He owns everything.” After weeks of prayer, she stepped out in faith and opened Unlimited Dreams Christian Learning Center with help from her mother, a retired teacher. What began in a small daycare building has grown into a K–12 school serving 120 students. A series of unexpected financial provisions helped the school move into a larger building, while HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier helped renovate the campus. Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves praised Cooley for giving struggling children “an opportunity for success.” Students who once fell behind are now earning strong grades while beginning and ending each day with prayer, devotionals, and Bible study. “God gave Amanda a vision and she followed through,” one parent said. For Cooley, every changed life is another reminder that when God gives the vision, He can also provide the way. #ChristianSchool #FaithInAction #GodProvides #ChristianEducation #FinancialMiracle #AnsweredPrayer #ChristianFaith #ChristianNews

Westside Christian Fellowship founder Shane Idleman has shared that he is leaning fully on Jesus after being diagnosed with head and neck cancer. After trying alternative treatment in Mexico and suffering a severe reaction, Idleman told his church that his hope now remains firmly in God as he continues his fight for healing. Idleman said his journey has deepened his dependence on Christ, and his wife Morgan declared, “Our treatment plan is Jesus.” Even in the face of uncertainty, the couple’s message has remained rooted in faith, prayer, and trust that God is still able to heal. For many believers, Idleman’s testimony is a reminder that even in serious illness, faith in Jesus can remain the anchor of hope. #ShaneIdleman #JesusChrist #CancerDiagnosis #TrustingGod #HealingInJesus #ChristianFaith #FaithInTrial #PrayerForHealing

Former Avalon member Melissa Greene is drawing attention after openly challenging traditional Christian views on homosexuality, arguing that Christian music and church life have long relied on the contributions of queer people while refusing to fully acknowledge or affirm them. Speaking on Jen Hatmaker’s podcast, Greene said many churches and ministries have benefited from the gifts of gay individuals in worship and Christian music, but only so long as their identity remained hidden. Greene’s remarks place the spotlight on a growing divide within Christianity over how the church should view homosexuality, Scripture, and inclusion. She suggested that her own theology changed over time as she questioned what she had been taught and came to believe that full LGBTQ inclusion should be embraced in both ministry and church life. For many believers holding to historic biblical teaching, the comments reflect a broader effort to reinterpret Scripture on homosexuality and reshape Christian doctrine around modern cultural values. The discussion surrounding Greene and the rerelease of Testify to Love has therefore become about more than music. It has become part of the larger battle over biblical truth, repentance, sexuality, and the future direction of the Church. #MelissaGreene #Avalon #ChristianMusic #HomosexualityAndTheChurch #BiblicalTruth #ChurchAndCulture #FaithAndDoctrine #LGBTQDebate

YouTuber Jesse Ridgway is pushing back against Christian and pro-life critics after he and his wife ended their pregnancy following a confirmed Down syndrome diagnosis. “I don’t believe in God. I don’t believe in the Bible,” Ridgway said, explaining that he stopped believing as a child and later concluded that science “made more sense.” He also accused some critics of using “God and Jesus as their weapon,” while condemning the death threats directed at him and his wife. Ridgway said he will not retreat from the controversy and intends to keep discussing abortion, disability, and the decision his family made. His comments have intensified the national debate over whether science alone can determine the value of a human life—and how Christians should defend unborn children with truth, conviction, and compassion. Franklin Graham shared Day 29 of 50 Days of Prayer for America, featuring New Hampshire pastor Peter Chamberlain calling the nation back to the Lord Jesus Christ. Chamberlain prayed for families across America who are struggling, grieving, and carrying the pain of loved ones lost through drug and alcohol addiction. He asked God to bring comfort, grace, and healing to homes in need. He also prayed for the gospel to have “free reign” across the nation, for churches to be revived, and for Christians to live as the salt and light Scripture calls them to be. “May the pulpits of America preach the word of God,” he prayed. “May souls be saved.” The prayer was a call for revival to begin in families, churches, and across the nation. “Lord, may our nation turn to you,” Chamberlain prayed. School officials in Washington state are being sued after a 15-year-old female wrestler alleged that she was sexually assaulted during a match by a trans-identified male opponent. The lawsuit says she was not told her opponent was male before the match and that she would not have competed if she had known. The complaint accuses school and athletic officials of failing to protect her safety, violating her rights, and not properly reporting the alleged assault after it was brought to their attention. The case also raises broader concerns about parental rights, girls’ sports, privacy, and whether current policies are putting female athletes at risk. #GirlsSports #WomensRights #SchoolLawsuit #StudentSafety #ParentalRights #WashingtonState #TransAthleteDebate #BreakingNews Photo: Shutterstock

China Anne McClain says she once lived under the pressure of working, creating, and constantly trying to get ahead in Hollywood. But after the loss of her close friend Cameron Boyce, the actress said she began to step back and rethink what truly mattered. McClain said she still loves acting and creating art, but she no longer wants industry success to control her life. “Now, I just focus on the things around me and focus on this moment and put it on God and my family,” she said. She also shared that one of the biggest tests of her faith came when she believed God was telling her to step away from Black Lightning before the public knew the show was ending. Instead of chasing every opportunity, McClain said she wanted to focus on stories that could help young people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or at a low point in life. For McClain, peace is no longer found in staying busy or being on set. “He’s the main reason why I have peace when I’m not on a set somewhere,” she said of God. “I can sit alone and be with my thoughts and be with myself and have peace in this indescribable joy because I know God now.” Photo: Shutterstock #ChinaAnneMcClain #ChristianFaith #FaithInHollywood #GodGivesPeace #Hollywood #CameronBoyce #BlackLightning #FaithStory

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary has regained full accreditation after resolving financial concerns that led to sanctions in 2023. Following an April review, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges determined the seminary is now fully compliant with accreditation standards. President David Dockery called the decision an answer to prayer and evidence of God's “abundant grace and kindness.” The seminary addressed financial weaknesses identified in a 2022 audit by increasing revenue, reducing expenses, and selling property. Dockery said the experience strengthened the school's commitment to faithful stewardship and accountability.

JD Vance says his story is a warning that faith rarely disappears all at once. Instead, it often weakens quietly when it has never been deeply rooted. Reflecting on his spiritual journey, Vance said he did not abandon Christianity because of a dramatic rebellion, but because he lacked strong formation in the faith, consistent church life, and close Christian community. Though he was influenced by a praying grandmother with sincere faith, Vance said that influence alone was not enough to keep him grounded. Without deep discipleship and faithful friendships, his faith gradually became something easy to lose. Now looking back, Vance says his return to Christianity has shown him how essential the church, Christian friendship, and spiritual formation really are. His testimony highlights a truth many believers recognize: faith is not sustained by vague belief alone, but by being rooted in Christ through community, discipleship, and a life shaped by God. #JDVance #ChristianFaith #FaithFormation #ChurchCommunity #Discipleship #StandFirmInFaith #RootedInChrist #ChristianFriendship

Southern Baptist messengers have given initial approval to Albert Mohler’s Truth and Unity Amendment, which would clarify that churches cooperating with the SBC may not place women in the office of pastor, elder, or overseer. “The office of pastor is limited to men as qualified by Scripture,” Mohler told more than 11,000 registered messengers at the SBC Annual Meeting. He argued that the denomination needed constitutional clarity and warned that the issue marks “a great line” between biblical evangelicalism and liberal theology. The amendment received 6,028 votes in favor and 2,026 against, surpassing the two-thirds threshold required for its first vote. However, it is not yet part of the SBC Constitution. Messengers must approve it again by a two-thirds majority at the 2027 Annual Meeting before it can be formally adopted. Allie Beth Stuckey is pushing back after former Avalon members Michael Passons and Melissa Greene rerecorded the beloved 1990s Christian hit “Testify to Love” with gay country singer Ty Herndon and promoted the new version as LGBTQ-affirming. Stuckey said the rerelease changes the meaning many Christians once connected with the song. “We are not nicer than God. We don’t know better than Him. We’re not more compassionate than Him,” she said, arguing that Scripture—not culture—must define love, marriage, and sexuality. Although Stuckey said the song no longer carries the same nostalgia for her, she insisted its original message still belongs to biblical truth. “Love is still how God defines it,” she said, adding that Christians should continue to testify to gospel-centered love even when artists attempt to give familiar words a new meaning.
