Ignorant scientists just dropped a 'post-pandemic diabetes' paper that pretends COVID-19 vanished in 2023. Title screams “COVID-19’s Lasting Impact” yet the entire analysis dodges the elephant: → SARS-CoV-2 is causing new-onset diabetes in millions, → Science papers: 1.37% incidence in infected patients, 40% higher risk persisting 3–12 months, beta-cell destruction, chronic inflammation, Global Burden of Disease (GBD) numbers didn’t magically accelerate, because of the “pandemic,” SarsCoV2 is still driving them, Calling it “post-pandemic era” while ignoring the active viral trigger isn’t science, this is wilful blindness, This is how you gaslight a global metabolic catastrophe!😡 Wake up!! #COVIDDiabetes #ScienceFail mdpi.com/2673-3986/7/3/77

We must be crystal clear about a few points. Long Covid is not a "poorly understood neuroimmune disorder" with no biomarkers. It is a widely studied biological medical condition. Pathology spanning basically all body systems is well documented, with damage in situ across organs

While everyone heatedly discusses mind-body therapies, I’m on Year 6.5, wondering how long a human can survive without passing solid waste? My organs collapsed on themselves, & I was prescribed therapy. Does one quietly go septic & die? How does this process end, please?

In 2020, two months after my C-19 infection, I was admitted to the same hospital where I trained with a heart rate of 135 (sinus tach) and oxygen sat of 89 in bed. My attending physician was a guy I’d been good friends with since intern year, who knew I was a healthy, endurance athlete. He looked at the monitor and asked me if I thought my vitals were “real.” He then proceeded to document in the chart something along the lines of: “it may be anxiety but it may be something else.” Really hoping insight has grown since then, and Simone gets prompt care for what’s causing her tachycardia. Because despite all I’ve seen in my career, and gone through as a patient, that was a snapshot in time that still haunts me. And I’m still not well 6 years later.
Simone Biles lying in bed with a resting heart rate of 126. Very curious to hear what they say is causing that. 😥

Long COVID is an existential threat to all of the psychiatrists who have loudly attached themselves to pseudoscientific explanations for the illness. I've been saving quotes and have some funny (horrifying) ones, that I think are important to preserve for historical accuracy.

When we don’t test or count all the people Covid is disabling by design, the data can say whatever the powers-that-be want it to say. In October 2022, the CDC said 24 million Americans had LongCovid & 80% struggle to complete daily tasks. In December it was 7M, & now it’s 18M.

The vaccines I never took didn’t do this to me.

@LauraMiers has bravely allowed me to show her photos from 2019 and 2021. In between, she caught a mild case of Covid, which turned into LongCovid. But that is still Covid - which the study was on. And Covid aging has been replicated in many other studies.

🖤🐘 Another life lost to Long Covid and medical negligence. Rest in peace, Paola. Long Covid death shall not be silent. #LongCovidKills => The fight continues. There is so much to do, the COVID crisis is just beginning. But don't lose hope. And don’t lose your anger either.
I haven't been ok. Another beautiful soul lost to this bullshit of an illness. I'm so angry yet numb. Sorry for the pictures, I can't fit my post here, don't have energy to do multiple posts. **RIP PAOLA** love you always warrior🖤🤘 #LongCovid #UniteToFight #NotOneMore

Currently in the waiting room of my eye doctor’s office. Not a mask in sight but plenty of coughing, wheezing and sneezing. Of course I’m in my mask sitting far away from everyone. Happy Mask Week!
