Man, if @elonmusk allowing the #Polymarket platform to be front and center on X isn't a blatant attempt at election interference, I don't know what is. It's nuts that a betting platform is being touted as a legit poll. Its clearly attempting to mislead voters.

In accepting his Peabody Award, Jimmy Kimmel said: "Making jokes about the President – in America – shouldn’t win you a prize. We have the right, guaranteed by the Constitution, to criticize and satirize our leaders. That is a right I took for granted, for the first 57 years of my life, until last September, when the FCC delivered an unpleasant surprise." variety.com/2026/tv/news/jim…

If you thought Superman was right for fighting fascists in the 1970s but now you think he’s wrong for fighting fascists in the 2020s, then Superman didn’t go woke… you went fascist.

Independence Day is a reminder that America is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ America is owned by no one. It belongs to all citizens. And at this moment in history—when core democratic principles seem to be continuously under attack, when too many people around the world have become cynical and disengaged—now is precisely the time to ask ourselves tough questions about how we can build our democracies and make them work in meaningful and practical ways for ordinary people.

Might as well add to the shame...
To insult two highly respected and free thinking politicians like this is disgraceful. It just shows how far standards in society have fallen. Anyone reposting this insulting photograph should feel utterly ashamed. 😡

Really Vance? You want to talk about excellence? Like, in this moment? What an absolute 🤡
Vice President JD Vance to young Marines at Quantico: "We don't care who you are, where you came from. We don't care what skin color you are. We care about excellence, and we care about patriotism. And if you are awesome and you are a patriotic young Marine, then we are going to do everything that we can to make you the most lethal fighting force the world has ever seen." 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Replying to @MikeCosper
@MikeCosper Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate what you're doing through your podcasts and your impeccable journalism. As a kid who grew up in the Foursquare movement and attended Church on the Way, I really appreciated the most recent episode of DATDBS. 🙏

What we've learned about mental health and trauma in the last 20 years alone could help us understand how to help these men before abuses start-- if they're willing-- or if not, prevent them from being in power altogether. I guess my question is have question that yourself?

The abandonment of Ukraine shows this administration lacks any sense of moral clarity. The Jeffrey Goldberg / Signal story shows it lacks any competence. We are in so much danger right now.

Whenever a Christian nationalist says “life was better for Christians 50-60 years ago,” you should ask, “These Christians?” And show them this picture.

Jimmy Kimmel roasts Donald Trump for claiming Biden spent “$8 million on making mice transgender" and asks: "Are they so dumb they don’t know how to Google?" “You hear the president of the United States say we’re spending $8 million to do sex change operations on mice. You say, ‘Well, I’m sure he’s exaggerating, but there must be something there.‘ Turns out there’s not. It’s not real. The government spent money on transgenic mice, which are genetically modified mice they use in lab tests to study disease. It has nothing to do with being transgender other than the ‘trans’ part of the word." "You think they know this and just ignore it, or are they so dumb they don’t know how to Google? Or maybe they think we’re so dumb we don’t know how to Google? I don’t know. They’re turning Mickeys into Minnies and Minnies into Mickeys! No, they’re just trying to cure dementia and heart disease, which you would think Trump would be for seeing as how they are both coming for him real soon." Read more: variety.com/2025/tv/news/jim…

I’m going to cut to the quick here because I’m tired of this dance. Calling empathy a sin is a new trend by which conservatives rationalize being horrible to people they don’t like. That’s it. And it’s not a traditional conservative rhetoric, it was invented yesterday.
You cannot convince me that people who claim empathy is a sin are not just absolutely cruel people.
