This is true, but the committee has made very clear that WAB matters way more than the NET.
Worth noting that if NC State scheduled SWAC teams instead of beating UAB, VCU, Boise, and Liberty they would have finished ~49th instead of 43rd and may have missed the tournament

I’ve talked to a lot of staffs the past 24 months, and it’s not a one-off, I can assure you.
NET and efficiency metrics encourage that type of scheduling no doubt.
