#OTD in 1957 Bobby Layne's Detroit Lions win 31-27 after trailing 21-3 to Johnny Unitas & the Baltimore Colts at Briggs (Tiger) Stadium. Layne throws two touchdown passes to Howard Cassady in the fourth quarter

A very Happy 80th Birthday to Willie Horton! Born #OTD in Arno, Virginia. Played 15 of his 18 major league seasons with the Tigers, making 4 All-Star appearances, and winning a world championship in 1968. His number was retired by the Tigers in 2000
