More batteries, more renewable infrastructure => less market power in the hands of a few fossil fuel luddites, less Australian energy consumer gouging. Bring on the energy transition & restore market competition @PennySharpemlc @Bowenchris. @GilesParkinson reneweconomy.com.au/the-big-…

It appears there is a new update on the coalition’s energy policy for the coming election: new coal fired power plants for Australia to complement the nuclear power plants. It will be interesting to see the full details on this new “coal first” policy.
The US is planning to build coal fired power stations again. We should do this too.

So @MadeleineMHKing is more like a Coalition Minister on radio this morning. How about talking the facts: 1. Qld gas is not doing ‘the heavy lifting’ as it remains a nett importer of Vic gas 2. There is no ban on Vic onshore con. gas exploration. And Vic fixed Iona - not you

The nastiness and irrationality in some of the response to the appointment of the widely respected Sam Mostyn as our new GG this week was bonkers. Wrote this for @smh and @theage smh.com.au/politics/federal/…

An equity stake and a seat on the board please @AlboMP, not giveaway grants! And where is the plan for value-add taking place here in Australia rather than just making our country a bigger and better quality quarry? 🤷‍♂️ #auspol

This would be funny if it wasn’t so serious. This MP, my MP, prioritizes political point-scoring over backing sensible public policy - policy that lowers emissions, improves national security & helps families at the hip pocket. #BetterIsPossible @VoicesBradfield #EVs

Over 800,000 Queensland households have solar on their roof. We want to make it easier for them to add a battery to soak up even more clean, cheap sunshine. That's why we're offering rebates of up to $4,000 on home solar batteries.

Excellent opportunity here👇to ask @PaulFletcherMP about Peter Dutton’s lies and scare campaign against a strong New Vehicles Efficiency Standard. Ask Paul Fletcher why the Liberal and National Parties are so opposed to slashing fuel bills and car pollution.
