Against climate change, we have no magical vaccine but we have a solution: PREVENTION Best way to prevent dramatic climate change is to aim at 65% emission cuts for 2030 in the EU. The higher the 2030 climate target, the higher the social and economic benefits. #EUClimateLaw

Greta is right on the science, and i hope Kevin is right on the opening space. Hope to see you on the streets on Friday...
It takes a child to reveal the nakedness of the emperor(s), the economic priesthood & the ‘expert’ acolytes m.youtube.com/watch?v=DYqtXR… In so doing @GretaThunberg weakens hierarchy & powerstructures, prising open space for new voices & ultimately opportunities for meaningful action.

Excellent paper putting together some really missing pieces of understanding of fish, nutrition and how it's distributed. Congrats all...
Very pleased to share this paper, new in @nature. We developed a novel model to predict nutrient quality of fish, applied this to fish catches to quantify global nutrient yield tinyurl.com/y2enh7oe. @ERC_Research @LancsUniLEC @WorldFishCenter @ma_macneil @NasherK (1/3)

Just asked PM if she'll meet inspiring climate activist @GretaThunberg in Parliament in 2 weeks' time. Greta has met the Pope, spoken at Davos & received Nobel Peace Prize nomination. Seems PM still needs a bit more persuading. RT if you think she should meet. #strike4climate

Glad to see citizens assemblies feature - could have imaginative representation of future generations. Democracy by voting always hamstrung by short term need to be elected - tech-supercharged abilities to manipulate votes makes this more urgent than ever. wired.com/story/artificial-i…

How intergenerational theft is built into modern democracy - a great article by @romankrznaric, making a powerful moral case for long-term thinking. bbc.com/future/story/2019031…
