Events like this are a great reminder of how cycling brings communities together while promoting healthy, sustainable transportation. I’m already looking forward to the Kidical Mass ride coming to Pineview next month—and I’m tuning up my bike now in preparation @EnviroCentre

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending the final School Council meeting of the school year. A big thank you to the dedicated parents, community leaders, and staff who give their time to help make the school such a great place for students to learn and grow. It was especially inspiring to hear from the youth on the council and see the leadership, ideas, and enthusiasm they bring to the table. Thank you for the invitation and for all the work that happens behind the scenes to support our school community throughout the year. Go Cougars! 🐾 - Hier soir, j’ai eu le plaisir d’assister à la dernière réunion du conseil d’école de l’année scolaire. Un grand merci aux parents, aux leaders communautaires et aux membres du personnel qui donnent de leur temps pour faire de l’école un endroit exceptionnel où les élèves peuvent apprendre et s’épanouir. Housing and homelessness remain some of the biggest challenges facing communities today. This morning, I joined colleagues at City Hall to hear from Dr. Ligia Teixeira, CEO of the Centre for Homelessness Impact in London, England, whose work focuses on identifying and scaling evidence-based solutions to homelessness. I also appreciated the opportunity to connect with Nina Gorka from @ysb_bsj , Councillor @DavidHillWard3 , Councillor @RiverWardRiley , Councillor Dudas, and Councillor @tm_kavanagh as we discussed ideas and approaches that could help inform solutions here in Ottawa. Thank you to Councillor @PlanteSteph613 and the @uOttawa for bringing this important conversation to our city. - Le logement et l’itinérance demeurent parmi les plus grands défis auxquels nos collectivités sont confrontées aujourd’hui. Ce matin, j’ai eu l’occasion de me joindre à des collègues à l’hôtel de ville pour entendre la Dre Ligia Teixeira, directrice générale du Centre for Homelessness Impact à Londres, en Angleterre. Son travail est axé sur l’identification et la mise en œuvre de solutions fondées sur des données probantes pour réduire l’itinérance. J’ai également apprécié l’occasion d’échanger avec Nina Gorka de YSB, ainsi qu’avec les conseillers Hill, Brockington, Dudas et Kavanagh au sujet d’idées et d’approches pouvant contribuer à orienter les solutions ici même à Ottawa. Unfortunately, speaking with many of the families that we were looking forward the @MSCanOfficial Ottawa walk, the walk will not take place today due to the investigation. While we wait detail on this walk, it was good to see you so many people from the city, friends and supports that came out to cheer on the participants. It was great chatting with so many families and people I didn’t even know that have been affected and highlights the importance of this annual event. They do still accept donations!
