Four years ago our deal with Rolls-Royce was blowing up, and we hadn’t yet figured out that we could just make our own engine.
How to solve this was a regular conversation at home. So my daughter Ada, then nine, ghostwrote a note to Pratt & Whitney on Pages on her iPad.
It read:
The official will you?
Dear Pratt and Whitney,
The thing is that Boom needs an engine for the plane and no one wants to do it. We were wondering if you would do it for us. If you help us the world could have super sonic flight again and people would know you were a part of it. PLEASE

We've acquired a 47,500 sq. ft. facility near Hollister Municipal Airport in San Benito County, adding to our operations in Santa Cruz, Marina and San Carlos.
