LOL, look at Carney's posture, what a pussy. Wait until Trump leaves, THEN Carney will talk behind his back. Just like Trudeau.

Negative campaigns can chip away at unity, but a strong turnout can still solidify a de facto independence referendum. Emotional appeals can drive valid votes against independence. #Referendum #Unity #Independence

I’m still trying to figure out how Alberta cannot apparently sustain itself if it separates, but it’s already sustaining all of Canada

"An example I gave in my speech was, imagine if an Alberta politician had come here and tried to shut down your hydroelectric business and say you couldn't develop your aluminum industry anymore." Great point Danielle. Kind of like politicians coming to Alberta and telling the people that even though they've been given laws that allow for a referendum, you and others will campaign against them to tell them they cant have a real vote.
Smith during the presser today in Quebec "I think we have to be very clear that the people of my province are very upset with the way we've been treated for the last 10 years" "An example I gave in my speech was, imagine if an Alberta politician had come here and tried to shut down your hydroelectric business and say you couldn't develop your aluminum industry anymore." "That's what Stephen Guilbault did to our province, and that's the reason why people are so frustrated and why they lost hope." "It costs jobs, it cost economic growth. It cost us our ability to generate revenues to pay for the things that we care about." @ABDanielleSmith

Canada is passing laws to put people in prison for disagreeing with the government on social media. Senate committees are saying that if you disagree with unproven narratives, that you should spend two years in prison. How does this happen in a "free" country? It doesn't.

Good morning friends A direct message to Pierre Poilievre @PierrePoilievre @CPC_HQ As an Albertan I understand your position, you are a federal politician, I get it But I don't think its wise for you to come to Alberta and oppose Independence You can't win an election now. And despite Canada being an economic dumpster fire for some reason liberals continue to gain support And they will get a majority government via floor crossers and backroom deals regardless You had a chance to have an election and you conservatives hid in parliament during the budget vote Alberta is the main reason you ever have a chance to win anything Now you will join the side of the NDP, Liberals and a Canada being thrust into poverty, debt and a lower standard of living to trap Albertans within this system and keep us as tax slaves in a resource colony We will look at you just like we look at the NDP and Liberals, with disgust You are free to do and say as you please but please note if you turn against Albertans, our families and our desire to survive you are ensuring federal liberal governments forever How many votes will you lose in Alberta? I don't know, but if you can't win an election now, or hide from them, you definitely aren't winning in the future after losing Albertans support To each their own, but if you or your team can't easily forsee what I just explained here, i'm not sure what to say You should just stay out of it Have a great day Pierre - a former conservative voter and hardcore volunteer in Alberta who will never support you again if you oppose my family's long term survival Probably one of many

Premier Danielle Smith, Over the last 15 months under Prime Minister Carney, Canada has fallen into a technical recession. Unemployment is now at 6.9%, we’ve lost over 100,000 jobs this year, and business investment has dropped for five quarters in a row. Meanwhile, President Trump has kept unemployment at just 4.3%, grown the economy, and even helped stop several major conflicts around the world. The difference is night and day. Trump is getting results. Carney is failing. There are simply too many regulations and roadblocks in this country to ever get big projects done on time. We can’t afford to wait 10, 15, or 20 years anymore. Alberta needs to become independent, take control of our own resources, and move forward on our own. That kind of strong leader could be you. Your party is split on this issue, but the time has come for you to pick a side. Either way unfortunately your future as leader is in jeopardy. There are those that have lost patience and advancing forward to have you removed. I don’t want to see that happen. I have more respect for you and what you have done and have accomplished even for this movement! Had you not allowed us to have a voice on this matter we wouldn’t even be in this position now! There are those that forget this fact. Under Kenney it would have taken over 580,000 signatures Regardless, Canada is in a bad state now and only going to get worse and unfortunately that means Alberta is going to go with it. There is no Alberta Sovereignty within Canada There is only Independence! Alberta is ready to build a wealthy, independent future. We just need someone willing to lead us there. Respectfully, @ABDanielleSmith

Professor Bratt: I trust you will point out the error in the city councillor's proposal to have a city vote to secede from Alberta. The claim that “if Alberta can leave Canada, then Calgary or Edmonton can leave Alberta” is not correct. The Supreme Court of Canada’s secession decision dealt with provinces. It did not say municipalities have a right to secede. Provinces are constitutional actors. Municipalities are not. Calgary and Edmonton exist because Alberta law creates them. Their powers, boundaries, councils, duties and legal status all come from provincial legislation. That is why a city is not legally comparable to a province. A clear vote by Albertans on independence allows Alberta to become an independent country. A city council resolution would not turn Edmonton or Calgary into a separate province, country or constitutional actor. People can support or oppose Alberta independence. That is democracy. But we should debate the issue honestly. The “cities can leave too” argument is not law. It is fear dressed up as law.
edmontonjournal.com/news/loc… If Canada is divisible, then so is Alberta.

“I’m concerned about my children’s future.” That’s why Alberta independence matters. I spoke with CTV News about why more Albertans are asking whether our province would be better off making its own decisions. Watch the interview:
