Too many people recognize their opinions as feelings, but mistake their beliefs for facts. Closed minds hold truths to be self-evident. Open minds are willing to question even strongly held views. Lifelong learning requires the courage to challenge our own convictions.

Anecdotally, I think this is a relatively common issue in cardiac arrest care. Take time to perfect the essentials when managing an arrest. Don’t accept anything less. If you’re a team leader, or team member, take time to notice these little things that make the big difference
Defib pad placement is important. Positioning them correctly can double someone’s chance of survival. Side A is correct. The key difference is that the pad on the left hand side of the chest has been placed on the side of the rib cage, closer to the armpit.

I have to say, I’ve considered doing the same thing. Really struggling with the ethics of this platform since Musk took over. I’ve stayed because I value the professional network I’m part of on here, but it’s getting harder and harder to justify πŸ™ƒ Kudos to NEAS πŸ’š

In the PARAMEDIC-3 trial involving adults with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, an intraosseous-first strategy for vascular access did not result in a higher incidence of 30-day survival than an intravenous-first strategy. Full trial results: nej.md/48uYv4A #RESUS24

Generosity isn’t just a sign of virtue. It’s also a mark of intelligence. Data: people with high IQs have more unselfish values, give more to charity, and negotiate better deals for others. They prioritize the long-term collective good over short-term self-interest. It's smarter to be a giver than a taker. nytimes.com/2020/03/27/smart…

Disrespect doesn’t just make people feel bad. It leads them to perform worse. Evidence from medical teams: Even a single insult decreases the quality of diagnoses and procedures. Rudeness disrupts focus and undermines collaboration. Civility is not optional. It’s vital.

Importantly, these results generally line up with what we would expect to see, however, based on previous research. Micro- and nanoplastics have been found to cause all kinds of issues with biological tissues in vitro! 9/10
