Travis County Judge Andy Brown on Friday signed a disaster declaration for the threat of New World screwworm. There are no cases in Travis County yet, Brown said. "Our goal in Travis County is to keep it that way," he said.

This morning, I stand with our community with a shocked, horrified, and heavy heart in wake of the devastating mass shooting on West Sixth Street. I spoke this morning with Mayor Watson, ATCEMS Chief Luckritz, and Sheriff Hernandez, and offered any needed assistance. The investigation is ongoing.
