Thank you to @LakewindsCoop volunteers for partnering with @TreeTrust to plant the next generation of trees in Roundhouse Park in Chanhassen, MN. After the area lost some of its largest trees to tornado damage last year, this work will improve the community for years to come! 🌳

Thank you to the @TreeTrust volunteers from Land O'Lakes, Inc. and @EverlightSolar who helped us set up for the @CityMinneapolis spring tree sale! Some 1,100 trees and shrubs were unloaded and positioned at @DunwoodyCollege last week to prepare for pick-ups over the weekend! 🌳

In 1991, with education and hands-on opportunities, @TreeTrust began offering citizens the chance to participate in the planning, planting, and maintenance of their trees, both on private and public lands. This was the start of our #CommunityForestry program.

Denzel, a @TreeTrust YouthBuild trainee, gained hands-on construction experience right in his own neighborhood at a local @tchabitat worksite. Through opportunities like this, Denzel is learning to build a house and a strong foundation for his future career at the same time. 🛠️

In 1983, @TreeTrust began an adult employment program and hired full-time, permanent, staff after Hennepin County asked us to expand programming beyond youth. This program went until 1996, after serving more than 1,000 adults some years.

Residents in Golden Valley picked up their new trees ten days ago. The rain we've had is helpful, but be sure to check that your newly planted tree isn't drying out in between rains. 🚿

In 1978, @TreeTrust's summer youth, guided by trained staff, built MN's first floating boardwalk.
The 1,200-foot floating boardwalk was build for St. Louis Park at Westwood Hills Nature Center and a partnership was born that still continues to this day.
