I agree with @RonDeSantis ~ as a member of the executive committee of @FloridaGOP , I am going on record to say that I respectfully disagree with this unilateral decision. The American experiment works because we trust free people to hear competing ideas, evaluate the facts, and make their own choices. I believe sunlight, debate, and open discussion strengthen our party and our democracy. Republican voters do not need protection from ideas, they need the opportunity to judge them for themselves.

The chairman of the party should not be insulting the intelligence of Republican voters. Why not just take 90 minutes, find a tv partner, and let the candidates mix it up?
