The YEF Toolkit highlights research on restorative justice used in the criminal justice system as on average having a moderate impact on preventing reoffending. Key points if using this approach: ➡️ Offer restorative justice to children who come into contact with the criminal justice system. ➡️ Do not force participation in restorative justice. ➡️ Prioritise conferencing and victim-perpetrator mediation. ➡️ Prioritise using facilitators who are not from the police.
