#RuralTexas needs pharmacies close to home. When PBMs reimburse independent pharmacies at below-cost rates, those pharmacies close — and patients are left driving hours for medicine. That's not access. That's abandonment. @RepPfluger @RonnyJacksonMD #PBMReform #PharmacyDesert

Absolute transparency down to the general ledger level. I wanted everyone to see what it cost so people could help us get smarter. I wanted to compete on quality and price , focused on direct contracts. No insurance unless the carrier treated every claim as an invoice to be paid. Direct sales to companies 340b markups from cost, of only 15 pct No consultants. Hire people that are great at their jobs and can do the work. A discussion on whether we would spend the money on getting approved for government programs. All the approvals are expensive and may not have been worth it. We could publish quality measures and let 3rd parties audit them. Run the economics like a real business , run the care like every patient is family.

TX families rely on indie & family-owned pharmacies not corporate middlemen. PBMs are squeezing local biz w/ unfair fees/clawbacks, forcing closures w/ higher $$ for patients. Needs to stop NOW. #PBMReform #TexasPharmacies @JohnCornyn @SenTedCruz @BrandiChane @TxRuralReport

#MFN policy is simply anti free market leading to reduced innovation, R&D cuts, drug shortages, or access issues. Focus s/b on transparency, patent abuse and pushing foreign countries to pay more! @JohnCornyn @SenTedCruz @RepArrington @RepPfluger @RepNateMoran @TXRandy14

We do not need pandering to rural voters on this issue. We need serious policy work. And nothing that I’m hearing coming down from Austin is really going to help these communities with the problems they are facing. #txlege #ruraltx

PBMs. Insurers. Drugmakers. They all affect what you pay at the pharmacy counter — rural communities feel the pain first when local pharmacies are being squeezed out. Time for transparency & real #PBMReform. @TedCruz @RepPfluger @RonnyJacksonMD #RuralTexas #RxPrices

The real question isn't just "What is the drug's list price?" It's "Who keeps the savings — and does your local pharmacy survive long enough to dispense it?" PBMs have been pocketing the difference for too long. #PBMReform @ChipRoyTX @RepRandyWeber #RxPrices #TexasHealth

Texas is growing. Our water isn’t. And now we’re making decisions that will determine who gets it when it runs tight. Data centers are the headline—but this is really about something bigger: who our natural resources are meant to serve. I wrote about it this week 👇

Rural healthcare runs on thin margins and fragile supply chains. When drugs get harder to source, small-town pharmacies feel it first. That’s a real risk for rural Texas. Who will be our champion? @RepRonnyJackson @RepArrington @RepPfluger #RuralHealth #PBM #MFN

Sixty percent of Texas counties did not have a pharmacy in 2023. In 2025, more than 4.3 million Texans lived in pharmacy deserts, meaning they must travel farther to reach a pharmacy than a supermarket. bit.ly/4bU2iuJ
