New paper out in @AnimBehSociety by lab alum @Saumya_Gupta1 on "Studying mate choice using inertial measurement units." It describes using the Customizable Recorder of Animal Kinesis (CRoAK...get it?) to study communication and sexual selection in frogs. doi.org/10.1016/j.anbehav.20…

The @threeriverspark District and the @UMNews are studying the deer herd at Elm Creek Park Reserve. Crews are using helicopters to catch deer with a net. Researchers will then put radio collars on the deer and test them for SARS-CoV-2 Story: ccxmedia.org/news/helicopter…

A study by researchers from @umncbs and @ImperialBioeng shows how a tiny fly can skillfully maneuver around obstacles while chasing fast-moving prey. This can even help in efforts to design robots, drones, and more. Read more: z.umn.edu/7iyz
