I have sang, danced, baked and laughed with members of @UprisingClub during our Windrush celebrations. Throughout the pandemic, I’ve only been able to see them online. Today, we came together to remember those who are no longer with us and unveiled a plaque in their honour

This is what was done on the doorposts of the houses of the Jews in Egypt the night the Angel of Death passed through. The families were saved and protected in their houses that had the blood of a lamb painted on the doorposts. Are you protected today? Not sure? Then pray to God

Sandra Wallace: During this pandemic crisis my only ray of sunshine is looking forward to the uprising group on line each Monday. I really do missed the the company of the seniors sharing there fun and laughter but with the help of God I will be with them in person soon .

I know I've mentioned Elsie before, but this #WindrushDay her loss is still felt in Hackney, she was a huge part of our Windrush journey & emblematic of why listening to elders & celebrating must sit alongside memorial & campaigning for justice.

It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing of Elsie Chaplin who passed away on Tuesday 7th April 2020.Elsie 13th May 1928-7th April 2020. Affectionately known by many as mom, aunt, Chappy, sister, friend. We will miss your friendly face coming in with a hop, a skip song.
