❤️ I love the potential of Cardano. That’s why Upstream is still here, running our SPO infrastructure and maintaining our set of useful tools. 🤝 We invested early in bare metal infrastructure and ring-fenced roughly 10 years running costs when we had meaningful delegations from FEs like @Cardano_CF and @IOGroup and some beautiful community whales back in the early days. 🔁 We receive rewards, convert to fiat or increase our pledge if we can, and operate as a profitable UK limited company. The directors original investments paid back long ago and our runway is still long. 💸 When funding is available we organise events and host community summits with great historical success, keeping the community connected in person. Recently these avenues of funding have closed or become sparse with little desire for in person meet ups or the community summits. 💰 As a tiny pool today we generate about $100 a month in SPO rewards. I don't care if someone sets up a Discord where they can control and steer the narrative. IOG already has one, Intersect already has one, CF already has one. When people try (and we've seen this a lot over the years, not just recently) to steer the conversation into those channels (just take it to DMs instead of public arguing on YouTube/X/etc) it's never the fact that we're discussing some debatable point, it's that the conversation has moved from constructive debate of the pros and cons of an argument usually into personal attacks or petty tit-for-tat. That's what gets the headlines, the sensationalism that boils over the top. If people are going to screenshot it and drag it back out here to Twitter anyway... What have we gained? Twitter will miss the context and the nuance (like it usually does anyway), but it will never see the good, only the bad when someone wants to air dirty laundry. Twitter is the platform where Cardano has the greatest reach to the outside world, if we close that off then we're doing ourselves a disservice. "Training" the community to do better, be more respectful and moderating their own Twitter timeline will go further than asking them to no longer engage.

I deal with enough censorship being in the UK … I honestly never expected @IOHK_Charles to push in that direction. You have support Charles, stop listening to whoever you have around you (or don’t) and take x with a pinch of salt. And simply reach out to those who actually built things every day … Collaboration has never felt so distant 😢

I hope DReps vote this down!!! Reducing the committee min size is just the next step to further DRep capture (who are also cc members lol) We should be forcing the DReps to fund cc members so we get what we actually need. Last day for Intersect voting! (21 hours left) Currently, our proposal is not passing. Which is a shame but we still feel there's hope in getting some key DReps to reconsider our proposal. Been trying to get an @emurgo_io meeting to see what we can to do align and get that vote from ABSTAIN to YES. Haven't been able to get something scheduled in time. Since I can't get a hold of them, I will just let it all out here in hopes the community can rally behind us. I really think we align with the vision they claim to be pursuing. This is a T'd up enterprise deal, with an established partner on the other side, and guaranteed work. We are an open book, so is Henry (Sellout CEO), and I really think we are passing up on a valuable opportunity and network by not passing this proposal. In addition to that, we are guaranteeing revenue to the treasury. It aligns with every possible pilar of the 2030 vision it can. We already agreed to do the work with the price drop in ADA as well (almost a $300k cut) This isn't our last hope but damn close to it. I have said it many of times, the opportunity on Cardano has been non-existent over the last 8 months. We worked hard to create this opportunity and to watch it slip through the crack is disheartening to say the least. I want to see DReps logging off and reading proposals and voting before they log back on. We do not need or want is to funnel decision making to an executive function, to less people who align with the ethos of the proposers. We do not want a follow the heard capture voting system, because this WILL and HAS lead to value capture. When you give up your freedom and ideals to decide the path, you never deserved it … You do not need to be an expert in a specific field to understand the value propositions from the proposers. You do not need to be able to build what they recommend in order to vote in honesty and represent your delegators. What we need is DReps with opinions they own, with agendas they desire, and for holders to move delegation based on the DRep opinion. DReps are the executive function, and rn we have floppy DReps bar a few. In addition to Ogmios, a hard fork compatible release of Kupo is now available, also hosted under the IntersectMBO repositories as an interim measure. github.com/IntersectMBO/kupo… Update: The PreProd hard fork initiation action was not ratified at the epoch boundary on May 31. It is now expected to be ratified on June 5, with enactment on June 10.

Shout out to @Cardano_CF for sticking with their abstain vote on the revised Summit proposal all the way through the end. It couldn't be easy, but standing on principles rarely is. I'm hoping something can be organized, even if it's modest, because I know people personally who booked their hotels and flights to Singapore when the Summit was announced in Berlin back in October 2025, during the previous Summit before they even left Berlin.
