It’s a beautiful spring day so you go for a walk. You are strolling along when suddenly you hear loud chirping near your feet. You look over and see a baby bird lying on the ground near a tree trunk. What should you do? @UtahDWR has a few tips:
wildlife.utah.gov/news/utah-…
Each year, @UtahDWR captures big game animals to perform important health assessments & place GPS collars on the animals to learn more about their migration patterns and survival rates. This winter, 1,433 big game animals were captured, providing important big game data
Important takeaway for the average person: PLEASE don't touch or pick up dead birds. If you see 5 or more dead ducks/geese or individual dead owls/hawks/vultures, you can report it to the nearest @UtahDWR office
With the help of our partners, we work hard to reduce wildlife/vehicle collisions around the state and make migration safer for Utah’s fish and wildlife.

ALT A tunnel with water running through it under a stone bridge.
Ever seen a moose in your neighborhood or near your home?
🫎 Contact @UtahDWR if it’s within city limits.
🫎 Don’t approach it or try to “herd” it to a new location.
🫎 Secure your pets. A moose will kick and stomp them.
