I’m Daniela Velázquez — the first Puerto Rican & Latina elected to St. Louis’ city council. In office, I’ve wondered if the president would try to deport me, a citizen, out of my country. My people & my city have been abandoned. Impeach Trump. Donate: tinyurl.com/tu77wdsp
A coalition of local St. Louis organizations — including 50501 Saint Louis, Voices of Palestine Network, Veterans for Peace, the Missouri Workers Center, and St. Louis Jewish Voice for Peace — held a press conference Friday calling for a May 1 general strike. St. Louis Alderwoman Daniela Velazquez called on her fellow colleagues to strike as well.

These guys are grossly incompetent. Criminally incompetent. They are going to get Americans killed because of their uniquely toxic combination of carelessness and narcissism.
American war planning usually takes place in highly secure facilities. But the Trump administration planned its strikes on the Houthis using a group chat—and accidentally included The Atlantic’s editor in chief, @JeffreyGoldberg. theatlantic.com/politics/arc…

They are getting ready to destroy Social Security. Because the billionaires don’t need it. Prepping the ground here by shaming people who dare complain if their Social Security check disappears.

Defunding and Dismantling the Department of Education was in Project 2025, Agenda 47 and the Republican platform no one should be surprised. Trump lied and said he will eliminate but his cult won’t care. Legally he knows he can’t do it.

A new SLU/YouGov statewide poll found only 39% of likely Missouri voters prefer state control over the St. Louis police department. 47% oppose and 14% said they weren’t sure. Makes you wonder just how much more unpopular the idea is inside city limits.

It’s only “free speech” if you agree with them. Everyone else gets stripped from their community’s town hall. The fact is, we work for everybody. If Republican politicians can’t get that we work for the public, then the public should give them the boot. 🥾🗳️
BREAKING: US Rep. Andy Biggs is hosting a town hall tonight where they’ll be checking party affiliation at the door. No Democrats or Independents will be allowed inside.

The FTC’s purpose is to be a check on billionaires and corporations who make money off screwing YOU. Instead, Trump wants to personally wield the FTC’s power to protect his billionaire friends and punish dissent.

The @FTC must enforce the law without fear or favor. The administration's illegal attempt to fire Commissioners Slaughter & Bedoya is a disturbing sign that this FTC won't. It's a gift to corporate lawbreakers that squeeze American consumers, workers, and honest businesses.

While President Trump and congressional Republicans focus on another massive tax cut for their billionaire donors, paid for by cuts to programs like Medicaid and SNAP, the president is slashing pay for American workers. Reverse Robin Hood. usnews.com/news/politics/art…
