The Award for Dumbest Hawks Fan of the Year goes to....
Lol, losing 9 games in 64 games isnt stopping the Hawks from being in the play-in currently. Dude you sound insane...lol

If Miami does this deal, they are insane.
Yahoo Sports’ trade idea: Boston Celtics receive: Giannis Antetokoumnpo Miami Heat receive: Jaylen Brown Milwaukee Bucks receive: Tyler Herro Jaime Jaquez Jr. Kel'el Ware Kasparas Jakučionis Hugo González 2026 first round pick (via Boston) 2026 first round pick (via Miami) 2030 unprotected first round pick (via Miami) 2031 unprotected first round pick (via Boston)

Oh the hateful replies I received for suggesting that assuming it was a career ending injury was premature.
Strider’s MRI didn’t show any ligament damage, just inflammation. There aren’t any current concerns about him needing surgery. Today’s visit with Dr. Meister (performed surgery in 2024) will just provide an indication of what the next steps will be. Meister will provide a timetable for recovery. By tomorrow, we’ll have an idea of when Strider could begin throwing again.

Id consider this if not for his contract. 60 mil in 2029-2030 be nearly impossible to unload that, no matter how well he plays.
The Chicago #Bulls could emerge as a trade destination for De'Aaron Fox, per @BullsNationCP The #Bulls could view Fox as a buy low option with the potential to rebuild his stock for future value.

I do not think 57-65 million a season is a good deal for a guy who is going to whine and cry every time things dont go his way. That attitude will permeate the team. He has only averaged 25 ppg twice in 10 seasons. He averages 20ppg for his career.
I see Jaylen Brown as one of the best #2 options in the NBA, who thinks he's one of the best #1 Options in the NBA. He put up big scoring numbers this season, but Payton Pritchard was the 2nd leading scorer on the team while Tatum was out.

That team was 16-3 in the postseason. Didnt lose more than one game in any round of the postseason.
Jaylen Brown was on a Championship team, but the team around him was one of the best in a long time. Jrue Holliday, Derrick White, Jayson Tatum, a Healthy Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford. Could have won a Championship with a lot of different players in Jaylen Brown's spot.

Well, when you are not the #1 Option, you arent going to be guarded like the #1 Option. Andre Igoudala was an NBA Finals MVP. But, he certainly wasnt the #1 Option. Jayson Tatum averaged 26.7 ppg that season, Jaylen Brown averaged 23.0 So, he was not the defense's primary focus.

In fact, Jaylen Brown was -57 in the Celtics final 3 games in the playoffs as the Celtics blew a 3-1 lead over the 76ers. And, he was the #1 option in that situation, as he took 3.5 more shots per game than Tatum, while playing fewer minutes.

That doesnt mean he was a #1 on that team. He had a teammate that is 4 time All-NBA First team. Jaylen Brown is 2 time All-NBA 2nd team.

Atlanta Hawks would have been playing in the ECF again if we hadnt drawn the World Champions in round 1.

Id like to see the Knicks win so that the Hawks will have had the best Post season performance against the World Champions...on the other hand, I love seeing Knick fan's hearts be broken...so basically a win/win for me.
🚨 NOW: HUNDREDS of NYPD officers, including heavily-armed Counterterrorism units, are preparing to LOCK DOWN the area around Madison Square Garden Chaos will inevitably ensue here REGARDLESS of whether the Knicks win or lose tonight Pray for their safety tonight 🙏

Someone watching World Cup soccer comparing it to regular season baseball.

Orlando, Houston, Boston, Detroit...those are what so called Hawk fans call tanking teams.
The lineup of CJ, NAW, Dys, JJ, and OO was one of the most reliable lineups in the league. It ranked 1st in defensive rating, 4th in offensive rating, and 2nd in overall net rating ⚡️ @GeorgiaPower

Turns out my diagnosis was spot on. No career threatening injury. Elbow inflammation, 15 day disabled list. This dolt wanted me to bookmark this...so thats what I am doing.

Look at the Hate I received for cautioning people against jumping to the conclusion that Strider had a career threatening injury. Turns out, I was right, as usual. Elbow inflammation, 15 day disabled list. Sports fans are way too childish.

Track and Field is underrated.
Freshman sprinter Jonathan Simms just helped Georgia come from behind to win the 4x400 meter relay at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Simms ran a 42.99 second anchor leg to erase a 1.66 second deficit and win by three one hundredths of second

Not sure if Im just getting older, sports fans getting more immature, or its the effect social media has on people. But, Im becoming reluctant to admit to being a "Sports Fan". You guys are just way too childish. Braves best record in MLB, lose 3 gms and fans say "seasons over".

Waiting for Polymarket to open betting on Misiorowski having elbow or shoulder surgery before the end of 2028.
THROWING HEAT 🔥 Jacob Misiorowski's 104.5 MPH pitch to strike out Kyle Schwarber Friday was the fastest pitch thrown by a starter in the pitch tracking era (since 2008) 🤯

Hakws won one of the games he sat out, btw.
How do you like that? He says he could have played, but chose not to. In the Eastern Conference Finals.

Trae Young says he wishes he never played it safe when he injured his ankle against the Bucks in 2021 and says had they beaten them, they’d win the championship. "If I knew what I know now, I would have played through my sprained ankle. My agents were telling me not to play… We were two games away from going to the finals. We had beaten the Suns twice that year. You never know when that opportunity is going to come again." "That's one thing that breaks me. I wish I would have just triple-taped it, put the ankle brace on top, and played through that pain." 🥲 (via @thepivot)
