Amy Riccardi, who ousted Democratic Loudoun County School Board member Arben Istrefi in last week’s election in the bluest part of Loudoun County, said a big reason why she won is because voters in her area are fed up with the school board’s policy that allows students to share bathrooms and locker rooms with students of the opposite sex. “Parents don't want boys and girls sharing bathrooms, locker rooms or sports. They just don't. I got asked dozens of times a day by people, are you going to protect my my daughter in the bathroom? Are you going to keep the boys and girls out of each other's spaces? And the answer to that is yes.“ The district Riccardi won is a majority minority district with a high concentration of Hispanic, Indian, and Middle Eastern residents.

Congratulations to Loudoun’s newest School Board Member, @Amy4Sterling! Amy Riccardi defeated a Democrat-endorsed incumbent in the only flip of the night in Virginia.

This not a one-off. This is the embodiment of the radical left—hate-filled nutjobs in search of chaos. I had a lady that would fit the same description verbally assault me last night at BTSN! Democrats, while I’d hope all of you would condemn THIS, it’s ALSO okay to admit that the radical left has abandoned you. You don't have to agree with us on everything, but let’s all agree this bathroom nonsense has got to end. Together, we can bring back common sense and sanity. Boys don't belong in girl’s bathrooms, women deserve private spaces and their own sports to thrive in, and racism is never acceptable!

Thank you to the Police Benevolent Association for taking the time to meet with me today and share your priorities. As Delegate, you will always have my support, because you always stand in the gap for us as citizens. I look forward to continuing to work together to make sure we keep our Commonwealth safe.

On D-Day, June 6, 1944 my father landed at Normandy with the 101st Airborne Division. The world watched and waited while Western Civilization hung in the balance. We are reminded once again that Freedom isn't free and thank God for those brave men.

A full house came out to the Old Waterford Schoolhouse on Saturday evening to celebrate a lifetime of accomplishments by Gene Scheel in conservation and historic preservation.
