Vancouver’da bu yaşandı bu arada. Türk ve Avustralyalı taraftarlar birlikte Sweet Caroline’ı söyleyip dans etti. Hayatımda yaşadığım en eğlenceli ve sürreal anlardan biriydi.

Major Canadian experts in internet security and privacy - like @RonDeibert, @OpenMediaOrg and @cancivlib - are absolutely freaking out about Bill C-22. They’re sounding massive alarms, warning that it could: - force companies to keep metadata for up to a year, making a vast trove of personal information vulnerable to leaks and hacks - make encryption meaningless by creating backdoors in software that allow police and gov. agencies to scoop up our personal data and messages - give US police and spy agencies direct access to Canadians’ personal data without warning or oversight So what is the Carney government doing? Ramming C-22 through in the dying hours of the session. Meanwhile, Minister Solomon offers a retail sales pitch for potential powers of a new regulator that won’t even exist for at least 18 months. Instead of just banning surveillance pricing and protecting us from other forms of digital spying and extraction. Bill C-22 is a disaster and should be withdrawn.
Canadians deserve more control over their personal information. That’s why the Protecting Privacy and Consumer Data Act would introduce a Right to Deletion, giving Canadians greater control over their data and strengthening privacy rights in the digital age.

A day after murdering a 1-year-old baby the police returned to the scene of the crime they committed to protect capital (Walmart) and tear-gas the community. There is no reforming a system that is this barbaric and inhumane.

No Giants players have ever *once* written a Bible verse on their hats Pride night rolls around and 3 Giants players write Bible verses on hats for the first times in their careers—hats that they *didn’t even have to wear* It’s hate. Accept the social consequences for it, loser
D-backs pitcher Ryan Thompson, who is a proclaimed Christian, spoke on the MLB warning SF Giants players who wrote Bible verses on Pride Night caps: "I think there's a perceived negativity with this stuff. Landen Roupp wrote a verse on his hat that means he's anti something. That doesn't mean that. It means that he's pro something. So the rainbow means something to him. It means that he believes in the Noahic Covenant being something that's special to us as Christians."

Avi Lewis: The government of Canada just can't seem to summon the moral clarity and resolve to criticize both the government of Israel and take meaningful measures to intervene in an ongoing genocide and speak up against groups that are providing political cover for it.

No US VPN company will obey this. "They’re turning privacy tools into surveillance gateways." This is a threat only to the INGSOC and to no one else in the entire world. Here are the top VPN companies and their associated jurisdictions: NordVPN : Panama ExpressVPN : British Virgin Islands Surfshark : Netherlands Proton VPN : Switzerland Mullvad : Sweden CyberGhost : Romania Private Internet Access : United States IPVanish : United States Hotspot Shield : United States TorGuard : United States VPN Unlimited (KeepSolid) : United States StrongVPN : United States Windscribe : Canada TunnelBear : Canada PureVPN : British Virgin Islands Astrill : Seychelles FastestVPN : Cayman Islands Ivacy : Singapore Hide me : Malaysia VyprVPN : Switzerland Perfect Privacy : Switzerland IVPN : Gibraltar AirVPN : Italy ZenMate : Germany F-Secure Freedome : Finland BVI is a British Overseas Territory has British sovereignty, but a separate legal jurisdiction. Not part of the UK, and not subject to UK surveillance/data law, so the VPN ban can't touch Express VPN. This stupid, Luddite ban is therefore dead in the water, and all INGSOC can do is get OfCom to send threatening letters that will have no legal force, right Prezza @prestonjbyrne ?

🚨VPNs to be forced to collect digital id data🚨 UK Labour government is pushing draconian digital control under the guise of “child safety.” The House of Lords amendment now forces VPN providers to implement highly effective age assurance (ID checks, biometrics, etc.) to block under-18s from using consumer VPNs. This comes right as they announce a full social media ban for under-16s — with further “VPN restrictions” due in July. They’re turning privacy tools into surveillance gateways. Digital ID-style verification creeping in everywhere. This isn’t protection. It’s overreach. Proof: • Lords amendment text: bills.parliament.uk/bills/39… • Lords vote & details: ispreview.co.uk/index.php/20… • Liz Kendall on July VPN update social media ban: express.co.uk/news/uk/221793… Wake up before it’s too late.

Of all the things Canada wants to be known for internationally, I didn't have encryption backdoors and mass surveillance on the list. Quite an achievement to be ashamed of. When this is used against Canadians—and it will be—remember you (Canadians) allowed it to happen.
Well past midnight and the votes continue on Bill C-22 amendments. Just amendment numbers with no discussion, no debate, and no way for the public to even know what is being voted on.

If every convo you had with your mates down the pub was recorded forever, could come back years later to get you fired from your job or even arrested, lots of people would start trying to hide their identity at the pub too
If banning social media for U16s means linking a profile to an ID to verify age then I think that's all the more reason to do it. If you are worried about legal repercussions of what you are saying on SM then that's a pretty good hint that you probably shouldn't be saying it.

Kristi Noem, former ICE head & 51st state pusher, is helping a BC mining company “globalize” their market. But we know that means — using her Trump contacts to rip and ship BC minerals for US munitions. US corporate takeover of our resources is how we become the 51st state.

It's official: buying isnt owning Which means piracy isn't theft
1.3 MILLION PEOPLE ASKED THE EU TO STOP COMPANIES FROM DELETING GAMES THEY PAID FOR. THE ANSWER WAS NO. The "Stop Killing Games" initiative wanted one thing: when publishers pull the plug, don't let them remotely destroy copies people already bought. The European Commission's official response: - It will not require publishers to keep games playable - says forcing them would go too far - Reason given: publishers' copyright and IP rights come first. Your purchase comes second. - The solution: a voluntary code of conduct, developed together with the same industry that kills games - Plus an awareness campaign reminding you of the consumer rights you supposedly already have 1.3 million signatures. Years of work. Multiple hearings. And the part that says everything: according to the campaign, Ubisoft got a seat at a closed-door meeting with the Commission before the decision. The 1.3 million people who signed did not. Publishers can still brick your purchase whenever they feel like it. If buying still isn't owning, then at least now it's official.

Lewis: I found the PM's comments about the Iran war being worth it to be really disturbing, shocking as a Canadian. I want to know who the PM thinks it was worth it for. For thousands of civilians who were killed, for the 168 schoolgirls who were killed on the very first night ... Who was it worth it for?

Really bummed to see Scott Belsky, Reid Hoffman, Senator Cory Booker, Immad Akhund, Preet Bharara, Adam Grant, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gov Wes Moore, Ezra Klein, and Kim Scott on the list of leaked members of Dialog. There’s something creepy and conspiratorial about an “elite group of individuals” meeting under a Peter Thiel community to plan for the world. I hope I’m wrong but at the cursory read, this is very disappointing.

there is a video that makes the rounds on here sometimes of a mime that finds men that are carrying nothing while their wives carry bags and backpacks and children and he wordlessly removes the items from her and gives them to him. i assume this is humiliating. the mime is needed here.

I dont normally like to comment on celebrity bs but she has baby, 2 backpacks and a purse 😭 there's not a woman in my life that wouldn't take one of those bags off me so why is it "not feminist" to expect your literal life partner to give a little bit of a damn
