I am the admin of two public energy investing message boards (doomonyou at both). Due to a serious hacking attack the older board ( investorvillage.com/Groups.a…… ) is not publicly viewable and is not free to join like it used to be. It is working normally however at this time if you were a member you are still. I have setup a new public board, fully moderated, to discuss energy and metals investing at X communities at x.com/i/communities/19512553… with many of the same people there and that one is free to join and publicly viewable without consideration. For now the Investorvillage board is much busier and has recovered somewhat to its old volume of posts. But both boards will be maintained in case Investorvillage has future problems, as I am not clear on the new pay-only business model works long term. Better to be prepared.

$spcx is going to go straight to like 4 trillion dollars on an absolute frenzy and THEN get flash added to to the indexes at 250x revenues or whatever fever dream it hits. Serves the indices right for changing the rules.

sold all $CVE $DVN $CNQ etc here. The bounce was modest overall since the purchase and the equities did not respond nearly as well as I wanted. Profitable in an absolute sense, but very medicore return. I think Trump is getting hysterical about this oil topic now (no politics here, investment stuff only) and the chance he throws the rest of the SPR or something similar out is really non-zero. I also think there now is becoming a chance that the disaster is TOO big to help some of the producers. Its too well known to policy makers internally as I understand it that this oil situation is about to go absolutely critical and I am not sure what their reactions will be legislatively (US export bans, Windfall taxes on refiners, etc.) Given the Space X craziness and overall market weakness, I will put the money back in the cash bunker take my 2% return for the trade and sit and watch for better entries.

For the neocloud services they are selling? I put a negative multiple on it. There is negative equity value at xAI for the third-party, merchant neocloud business. It is a cost center, not a profit center, to feed the LLM business (with its stated $23T TAM).

New York didn’t stumble into an energy crisis. Albany built one. A decade ago, New York’s grid ran on a balanced mix of nuclear, natural gas, and renewables, and families paid about 18¢ per kWh for electricity. Then Albany shut down Indian Point in 2020 and 2021, eliminating 2,000 megawatts of clean, reliable, around-the-clock power. What happened next? Natural gas jumped from 36% to 47% of the grid. Renewables barely moved. Electricity prices climbed to nearly 30¢ per kWh, about 70% higher than the 2016 low and now among the highest in America. And the craziest part? New York sits on top of some of the most abundant, affordable natural gas in the country, yet politicians blocked the pipelines needed to bring it to consumers. The solution isn’t complicated: finish the pipelines, keep nuclear and build more of it, complete the Champlain Hudson transmission line, unlock the jobs and mineral rights of the Southern Tier, and eliminate the hidden fees driving up utility bills. Affordable, reliable power is a choice. As Comptroller, I’ll be the watchdog who holds Albany accountable for the cost of that choice.

This administration’s attempts to bring gasoline prices down for the average American are asinine. The average American spends about $200 per month on gas. Even if that doubles, it’s a mouse fart in a hurricane compared to how much auto, home, and health insurance bills have skyrocketed since before COVID. Those costs are absolutely breaking the country, yet politicians refuse to discuss it. Now we’re about to send billions to a dangerous regime that openly says they want us dead—just to lower oil and gas prices. None of this makes sense.

Re: China and Taiwan. The idea in the age of long range drones, long range missiles, drones that can launch missiles, submarine launched missiles, etc. that Taiwan can be secured against a Chinese blockade is beyond a joke. There will be no invasion, no D-Day re-enactments. China will just announce as of this coming future date its illegal to take a ship to Taiwan without Mainland permission. Anyone leaving can go, no issue. But ships must check in at Chinese mainland customs first before heading to Taiwan.

Here we ago. Ukrainian FP-1 long-range strike drone equipped with optoelectronic complex for real-time guidance overflying the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery in Russia's Samara Oblast, over 900km from Ukraine. Perhaps the first evidence of the FP-1 long-range OWA-UAV being equipped with camera that allows the operator to steer the drone onto the target in online mode. Until know, the FP-1s were known to be guided only through the pre-programmed route, with real-time guidance being a feature in shorter-range FP-2 OWA-UAVs. t.me/kiber_boroshno/13190?si…
