Bravo
@GovMurphy! Thank you for your leadership in getting phones out of the school day for New Jersey's kids.
Based on experiences in other states we can expect learning, laughter, friendship, and library usage to increase, while discipline problems go down.
NEW: I just signed bipartisan legislation establishing a bell-to-bell ban on cell phones in K-12 schools.
This policy is a no-brainer. It will help boost academic achievement, protect the mental well-being of our students, and restore focus in our classrooms.
Schools are places for learning, socializing, and interacting – not distracting screens.
